I really enjoyed the video! The Museum of Contemporary Art in Bangkok looks like I could spend one or two days there! The giant lizards at the park are fascinating. And that iced mocha would be well worth a trip to Bangkok!
@RetiredGlobalLife8 ай бұрын
Thanks, Sharon! Haha, yes it was a big enough iced mocha for two on a bench by the lake, alert for monitor lizards at our feet.

Great video, guys! The park looks beautiful. Keep your eyes peeled for water lizards, haha!

Thanks. It was fun to be in a place where both they and people could wander freely.

Nice video! Hard to believe such a nice park exists in the mega-city of Bangkok! Next time I'm in Thailand, I'll have to check it out.

Thanks! The fact the water monitors and people could roam around together was cool. The video did not show how many we saw. Maybe 50 or so. They are everywhere.

Nice to hear from you. We enjoyed the park and museum and making the video. Sadly not many people watched it...

Nine months ago we spent 17 days in Thailand, 7 of those days in Bangkok. We just came back home to Korea after 2 weeks in Bangkok this February. And now, we're almost sure we want to live there and been gathering all the information we can get our hands on. I am glad to discover your channel. No hype, no sales pitch, and no BS. Not sure where you live in San Diego but your backyard looked liked my dads in Rancho Penasquitos. It would be hard to leave such a nice place just like it would be hard for us to leave Korea but i think it would be worth it. Thank you.

Thanks, Dan. I live in North SD County. People outside of CA have no idea how much green space there is in areas like SD County. Glad you enjoyed Thailand. I'm not a big city guy so I like Bangkok in small doses, although in the quieter parts of the city I enjoyed it much more. Yes, it is hard to not just stay in my nice house in CA, but there is something addictive about Thailand that makes me spend half my life there, and likely even more as time goes on.

Thanks guys. That museum was something else! Loved it.

Thanks. I worried a combo of park and museum may not go together, but I like how it came out.

Good to see you both in Bkk. Nice big park. Don't you love how Thais really enjoy living in the moment? Joy's expression with the coffee...priceless🙏👍
@RetiredGlobalLife8 ай бұрын
Yes, you are right. Thais do enjoy the moment and are less hurried than westerners. Good observation, Randy! But I thought her look of pure happiness from was her looking at me, not drinking her mocha. You ruined it for me, dude.

Looks like I need to take my sculpture collection to the next level. 🤣 The best exhibit was the woman with red blouse and white shorts. Your music choice adds a lot to the production value of your vlog. The Russian Thailand vlogger “Mickey Stotch” is best in class at using music. His subscriptions exploded once he added music. Nothing better than a beach side massage. I had one in Khoa lak and fell asleep.

Thanks, William. Joy will appreciate your compliment. I'll check out his channel and steal his good music selections. (:

Such an interesting park. I can't believe the size of those monitor lizards!

Hi Ian. Yes, those things are big! And they are everywhere. We must have seen about 50. Cool how they seem to live in harmony with the people.

Great video, as usual! Thanks 🙏 One of the issues in Thailand: so much plastic for just one coffee...😟
@RetiredGlobalLife7 ай бұрын
Thank you! Always nice to hear from you. Yes, Thais love their plastic bags. Plastic within plastic. Coming from California where plastic bags are seen as almost evil, it is a big cultural divide.

A lovely oasis in the middle of the all-day traffic jam that is Bangkok. What a great way to spend a few hours!
