To answer some of your questions. There is a yearly award called the Ballon D'or which goes to the best player in Europe each year (essentially MVP). Messi has 6 of those which is the most of all time. There is an award called the Golden Boot which goes to the player to score the most goals in all of Europe each season. Messi has 6 of those which is also the most of all time. He scored 91 goals in a single year which is a world record. He has the most assists in recorded football history. He is the best dribbler of all time, one of if not the best passers/playmakers of all time, and the best goal scorer of all time. No single player has ever been able to dominate every category of the game even remotely close to how Messi does. He is the greatest of all time by some distance and I am so fucking blessed that I got to watch his entire career.

there have been soooo many legends in football history. Zidane, R9, CR7, Henry, Laudrup, Totti, Del Piero, Baggio, Figo etc. But Messi was the only one, where i had the feeling, he can just do what he wants. Never seen a player this dangerous all my life. R9 was there for a few years (sadly, injuries), Ronaldinho, Zidane had a few years were they seemed invincible but Messi is just different. Yeah, dribbling is when you're running solo with the ball. He's considered one of the best because he can get close to his top speed while keeping the ball within 3 ft. of his body at all times, making it difficult to defend. It's easy to kick a ball 30 ft. and run after it, but almost impossible to run at full speed and maintain a feather-like touch while changing direction with the ball like he does.

Let's just say we're never ever gonna see a player any close to the level of Leo. A little kid from Rosario, Argentina who had growth hormone disorder and he was always the smallest kid but from a young age he's been ridiculously good.
