When I was little I thought skills and tricks were fancy and was a huge Ronaldo fan. When I grew up, I saw Messi dribbling past 4 players in a match without using any skillmoves. You couldn't do that in FIFA 12. I knew he was something special then. Till this day I have been a follower since. Ronaldo is a special player. He has amazing numbers in his career. But whenever I watch Messi, he gives me so much joy. It's about entertainment. It's about moments that make you gasp and stop your heart. These don't come under statistics. Messi could be the best Playmaker as well as the best Forward in the same season.

I am a fan of both of cr7 and messi(both of them are equally great). But im gonna say one thing. Messi in his 17s-21s was really unstoppable as they say. He just dribbles through everyone. I personally believe fouls are the main reason messi was stopped. (These days the the team formation is most of the time set to trap him like a net from camera perspective, his record of maintaining a guraanteed one goal per match is down) At the same time ronaldo has the advantage of adding more power to the kick of his ball. Its kinda obvious to see why messi didnt beat ronaldo all time goal record although he got the most goals in a calender year which is most importantly the reason why most ppl who supports who say messi is greatest(ronaldo may have started his football carrier in laliga some years already before messi joined fc barcelona)
