When your champions look like homeless people, you have a perception problem

Foosball practitioners at the higher levels are too fast for the eye of the casual spectator. This is a structural problem one must overcome if one is to expect a greater audience. We can not ask pro players to slow down their game. On the other hand, inventing rules forbidding players from choosing shots like the rollover or pin can become cumbersome. The trick is to create novel ways to get players on the table because once you start playing this game, the odds are you will be hooked. The rest comes by itself.

"cumbersome"? Keep your hand on the handle and keep the ball moving. Done.

What makes foos more popular in Europe?
@jasong5913 Жыл бұрын
@@monstertrucktennis I don't think you understood the argument.

@@monstertrucktennis Probably the same thing that makes foosball's real-life forefather (football, or 'soccer') more popular in Europe than in America - legacy.

We would have to show it to the " PUBLIC " in 4K at 1/4 Speed, for them to TRULY appreciate the Skill of the Shot Maker and the Goalie, IMO

Few things.... 1. Get super hot girls that walk around the foos table between rounds holding up round sign, like the UFC has. Not kidding. 2. More camera angles setup away from the table showing the players and the crowd so the viewer isn't just starring at a green table for 1 hour. Capturing the energy of the crowd can pump up a streaming audience. 3. Better venue stage environment so it doesn't always look like these tournaments are being played in a dark musty cave. A simple setup of curtains and simple themed decor can make it look much better and not cost a lot. 4. During the beginning of the matches, have a side by side of the players and their stats so the viewer can get a better perception on whom they are watching without being a longtime fan. You could even have an announcer call out the players "Let's get ready to rumble" style. 5. More slow motion replay of the fast goals. Foos is great because the gameplay is fast and intense, but the environment is boring as hell. A lot of the older players are super boring. Younger guys like Tony, Ryan, Munoz, etc, have a unique interesting look, I think player personality should be magnified more.

FoosBall's greatest weakness is visibility. The playing field is only 2'x4(approx.). Pool, darts and even cornhole is easily visible and more interesting. Technology must bring foosball to the frontlines to gain interest.

@@rjaquaponics9266 That is a good point. I think multiple camera placement in and around the table in strategic places can alleviate the size constraints and give the viewer a more interesting dynamics.
