Compare this scene and the first scene, to the most recent scene in season 3 episode 4. Its such a stark contrast. I am an Asian guy who isn't American, I see the S3E4 and I think this sort of thing is no longer fine. Not after what Orlando Jones brought to the show in the two seasons. In this scene, noticed Orlando Jones accents change as Anansi get angrier and angrier. That's craftsmanship from Orlando Jones acting prowess.

The black man with the glasses is Djehuti/Thoth the Khemetic god of wisdom and judge of the afterlife. He was like “They are all coming before me in the end. I judge them and decides who goes where. Don’t worry, I got them. Anansi, who is a West African god from Ghana and of the Diaspora specifically was like “nah, that’s cool what about now? how long we gonna wait? Being passive hasn’t ever done anything for us and we need to get it together.

The black man in the glasses is Anubis...Everytime a person died in the show he appeared to take them to the scales of Maat. He even said his name in the show.

Probably my favorite scene in the entire show. Anansi is my dude!!🙌🏿 And I met Yetide Badaki who plays Biliquis at comic con here in Seattle and she was such a sweetheart. She even praise Orlando Jones for his role as Mr Nancy

Another powerful scene is with bilquis and the granddaughter of a recently deceased woman (the body of woman in funeral parlor) in the chapel of the parlor. Bilquis questions the woman’s faith in Christianity and goes on to educate the woman about the rebel named Jesus. I’m not a religious person, but do enjoy the historicity of religion because it explains the need for the religion.

I ended up really enjoying season 3 and I'm really hoping that they'll renew it for season 4 even if it's with another channel, but I still missed Mr Nancy. I want to see him talk with the Orisha

Gods I want to see in season 4 even if we never see Mad Sweeney again. Ostara, Mr Jacquel?Anubis, Mr Ibis/Throth, Bast, all of the Orisha, and Mr Nancy/Anansi. I want to hear Mr Nancy talk with the Orisha.

s3 is kinda bland, the voice and passion of Anansi gave a lot of spice to the show the new black gods are kinda lame, i need to read the book so i can keep on checking on this awesome character.

This was another Scene, probably the lynch pin those white showrunner execs couldn't handle the truth in their white fragility and writing off Orlando.. it's bogus. Once again too close to the truth and cannot be handled. Not the same without His Character.

Don’t put words in his mouth. He said exactly what needed to be said. None of us need to remix it. He was speaking English. This is one of our problems as a people. Quit sugar coating stuff. Just as raw as he spoke thous words, it’s 10xs more truth too thous words.

Orlando was fantastic, and was the best part of the show. They really screwed up by firing this man.
