So because people that don't have natural creative talent turn into those monsters when they take the pill, I'm thinking Doris is going to take the pill and turn into a monster. She seems kind of desperate for validation and the scene where she's agonizizing over the "greige" swatches seems to indicate she doesn't really know what she's doing. Plus she was trying to hype up the Instagram design contest she won that had "over 100" entrants.

Couple of thoughts: 1.) Belle Noir and Austin Sommers own the house, and they are the ones who found Doris’s Instagram account. In the opening shot, I got The Shining in that the writer goes off to a quiet place to write and goes a bit nuts on his family. I'm glad I wasn't the only one getting Sally vibes from Karen. Both are drug addicts who offer up sacrifices in order to be protected from the other baddies. Kinda wonder are they going to do what they did in Hotel and never actually call them Vampires. I mean theoretically, they aren't? It is explained as a side effect of the pills and you go back to normal if you stop taking them. Though kinda glad it's addressed about having side effects from the blood they drink like the drugs. I was wondering what her deal with Lyme disease was. When I heard that song I instantly thought about Queen of the Damned. I think if the mom takes the pill, she'll turn into one of those ghoul things because well it's set up that she lacks talent. I think it's possible Belle will want her baby and maybe the husband will kill Belle so she doesn't take the baby?

I'm getting very similar energy from another movie with Lily Rabe; Fractured. The families in both film and show respectively parallel the members of each household and motifs of a crumbling family structure involving pregnancies are present. If Doris takes Alma to a hospital after her little winters bone incident I'm sure we will get some homages or fun nods to that film as well 😊

I think the reason why they show Harry going out when his wife wasn't feeling good was to show the character's state of mind and personality. I mean, his self-center personality and desperation as a writer. I want to comment on how great the chemistry of Evan Peters and Frances Conroy is on their scenes! 😍

I was rewatching asylum today and noticed that Lana’s son, Johnny had a therapist (the one he killed) Her name was dr. Gardner. Which is the same last name of Finn’s character in double feature. (Harry Gardner). Maybe the two are related in some way? This could just be a coincidence but I wanted to point that out 🤪

Things I noted: 1: Why do the Pale People also have sharpened teeth?... 2: The "Tide" in "Red Tide" could also be a reference to addiction. 3: This setting gives off big Lovecrafts' "Shadow over Innsmouth" vibes for me.

I wonder why no one has mentioned yet the duet Evan Peter's and Frances Conroy were singing at the restaurant was "Islands in the stream".......not only a song by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton....it is also the title to the book Ernest Hemmingway wrote and was published posthumously, like 10 years posthumously....Most of us know about Hemmingway right? The great author who loved the island life, the sea, and who also took his own life eventually.

In the first episode, Harry asks Doris if she wants him to bring anything from the restaurant and she says that she wants a burger and is craving red meat. So I'm assuming that something is going on with her since she said this. Also her attitude changes in the second episode because when Alma is looking for the black pill you can see Doris on the phone crying and yelling. While in the first episode she is caring and loving. I think Doris is also going through that transformation but in a different way.

Theory: - Doris has already taken the pill. - The pale people are those who have stopped taking the pill. - Part 2 of Double Feature is Harry’s script.

Just came across yall's channel and instantly got my thumbs up and subscribed AND od course u cant forget the notification bell. Love the knowledge and the love the both of you have for the show and how u break the whole episode down with episodes. I also love how u let us know if like there is a little bit of a B.O.A.T.S( Based on a true story) whether its just scene or the whole episode was based on true past history like A.H.S Hotel and mainly all of his seasons have a based on a true story event behind it and that's what makes it even more interesting for me. 10/10 recommend for me 👍

The babies getting kidnapped by TB Karen reminds me of hotel when the countess wanted young children, maybe there is a higher being, also possible the babies are used in the making of the pills. Also when Belle drank the blood from Mickey she used the same method as the countess by putting a small slit instead of bitting.

The most unrealistic thing about this season is the daughter. No little girl is like that she barely even acts human honestly. I hope they reveal something later on to explain why her character is so ridiculous like maybe she's part alien.
@philipe85393 жыл бұрын
I feel like the fact that she is homeschooled has something to do with that. She spends her time with adults, not other children, so she acts like an adult, which is strange to see from a child.

@anjiemarie13 жыл бұрын
I think he didn't leave because after taking the first pill some part of his brain knew he was going to need more pills to complete the series and the pills are in that town. He also needs to be taught where to find blood and how to hunt. Well that's why I feel he changed his mind so fast about getting his family away from danger, those pills are so powerful they are immediately addictive after the first pill.

Alma is the same name for the daughter in Season 10 and Kit's wife in Season 2 who was abducted by aliens. With double feature also having aliens, I'm wondering if there is a connection here? Maybe Harry's script is the unresolved alien story that occurred in Asylum? And he adopted his daughter's name for one of his characters that being Kit's wife?

Anyone else wondering if the daughter being named Alma is actually related to Alma from ‘Asylum’? Her and Kit were married in Provencetown. The “Double Feature” promos kept having aliens in it so maybe Doris was/has been impregnated by the same aliens that took the OG Alma and its alma’s fertilized eggs being spread around. The black pill that brings out talent are from the aliens too (the promo materials from asylum did show black goo coming from the nun statute) so maybe it’s an experiment in finding the humans that can provide VS what will become the waste. Ouuuf, the brain is spinning with all the theories 🙌

You have good taste. But ugh, I HATE that it will forever be known as the House theme. It's so much better than that! The song is called 'Teardrop' by the band 'Massive Attack' (which Banksy is a member of). The album is called 'Mezzanine' and it is sooo good. I highly recommend listening to it sometime!!
