Gabby’s reaction to Caleb making top 2 was her hand over her mouth and hugging him and being happy for him. When she found out she was 3rd she looked absolutely pissed and didn’t smile for Maddie at all. That rubbed me the wrong way and she’s acted that way the entire season. Glad Maddie won. It was obvious she was a Carrie fan and she needed to separate herself from that identity. The last few shows she started dressing like Carrie with the super short dresses and high heels. Problem is, she hadn’t been to the gym enough for those outfits and it became even more obvious that she was trying to be Carrie and there will not be another Carrie. I hope she surrounds herself with good people and doesn’t sell her soul to the devil just to have a successful career.

Caleb is a great young guy that will get a great record deal. Maddie is so unique in her singing and song writing that can just draw you in and want to hear more. Gabby is a nice girl but, Nashville is filled with young girls singers that can out sing her easily. Charlie Van Horn - just because a great many people share the same opinion doesn't make them "sheeple". One could say the same thing about your opinion. I agree she's unoriginal. There is a reason her single isn't doing as well as Cade's - in spite of the fact that he finished below her and didn't come in with even close to as many social media followers (she's been promoting herself much more aggressively for years and comes from a big city) - and she wasn't chosen for the Encore performance on Kelly & Ryan. Can we just agree that ALL of them are talented? They all worked so hard, so there is no need to slam Maddie for beating Gabby. Honestly, this is just my opinion but Maddie was the most humble and has a very unique talent about her. Her raspy voice and unique song choices is what caught my attention. Gabby is very good but her style is what I'd expect to see at a high school talent show or at a karaoke bar. She also doesn't take criticism well, she seems to act like it's all about her and that just shows that she needs to learn and grow more. I mean come on. She didn't even act happy for Maddie. Apart of being in a competitive business is learning to cheer on your competitors as well and being happy for them when they do well. It's up to all of them to put in the work now. Just because Gabby is working with Luke Bryan now and Maddie is signing on with Hollywood records doesn't guarantee them anything.

I have been in similar situations, it's not as simple as you might think she was grateful but it's still hard news , and faking it isn't always necessary. Gabbie has a lot of emotion and Power In her presentation. Personally I enjoy her r and b, soulful side. For me it brings out more of her emotion and soul. When she sang Whitney’s song she blew the roof off the house, it was amazing.I think that’s where her power is, r and b, Pop. I think she may have an identity crisis, but having said that, Gabbie go for it, go for your heart’s desire. Maddie on the other hand was extremely consistent with a strong and unique identity. I think that won her the crown. I wish them all well and am happy that ABC is going for season 2.

There are many instances when singers haven't won the show they entered and became huge stars. For example, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert did not win their competition and became MUCH bigger stars than the ones that beat them. Also, some big stars got cut and didn't even make the show such as Colbie Calilat, Hillary Scott (Lady Antebellum) and Naya Rivera (Glee). I predict Gabby will become bigger than any other singer in this season's A.I. show.

It's not her confidence, or her comfort with her skills - that's all great - but from the very first audition she was surprised the judges weren't blown away by her and she behaved as if she was very hurt and confused by their constructive feedback - they told her not to try to be another Carrie Underwood and not to always sing Carrie Underwood songs and the next time out what does she sing - Carrie Underwood. Even Carrie Underwood seemed a bit put off by it. "I feel like I'm looking at myself." and it didn't entirely seem like a compliment. Then she encouraged her to find out who "YOU want to be" - what she had been hearing from the judges all season but she continued to basically imitate.

Gabby is a cover singer...you'll never hear another word from her. Maddie on the other hand is an actual artist...writes her own songs...true talent. She'll be around for quite a while.

Gabby actually writes her own songs too. also I remember there were lots of artist on idol that were singer/songwriter and barely any of them made any progress, so I would suggest you truly support her if you want her to succeed.
