The language is Bengali. You should have stayed on the other side of the river in New Dhaka, Gabe 😀. Better hotels and Modern. Old Dhaka is very vibrant but not the greatest place to stay and it’s noisy and crowded. Would be nice to commute from the other side. The river is Buri Ganga which is a distributary channel of the Ganges and Brahmaputra which converges and then separates into several channels and one of them is Buri Ganga that runs through Dhaka.
@MuhammadIamhardBrucelee Жыл бұрын
@@HomeTravelGardenInspo This. Old Dhaka is fascinating for a day or two but nothing more. Bangladesh has plenty of countryside and wildlife to explore but most people just goof around in Old Town Dhaka for a few days and list check as having visited Bangladesh.

Some letters of Bengali are similar to Hindi, but they’re not the same alphabet. It’s like an English language speaker reading capital (upper case) Greek letters. Some capital (upper case) Greek letters are the same as in English, but there are others that are not in English.

01:33 Bengali script is similar to Hindi, some letters are different. In your part 1 video, on the gate at the river bank was written "Bina (second word) Snan Ghat" in Bengali. I couldnt decipher the second word, but could manage the other three. A "Snan Ghat" would mean a bathing ghat, like in Varanasi. Can you go back there, and find if people still bathe there, given the river was so polluted.

He is in the poorest part of Bangladesh. I am surprised to see his picking the poorest part of Dhaka for such an important travel vlogs or it could be his ways of saving dollars 🤣😆He should visited the modern Dhaka’s Gulsgan, Banani, Dhanmandi, Uttara Town and Bashundhara’s Amusement Park, Cox’s Bazar, Sylhet, Saint Martin Dip, and villages too. He also went to the cheapest restaurant of that place. He is my poorest American brother who seems like can’t afford to visit the richest part of Bangladesh. Listen to the poor sad music he has played here as for the back ground music. He could have request for funds from us before he sets his foot there and we would definitely given him some financial help to stay in those expensive places of Bangladesh. He seems like have scared you with this video of his. Don’t worry watch the rich travel videos of British, German, Australian and Arab KZbinrs by browsing KZbin and see their posts. They are also able to afford to keep a tourist guide with them to know their surroundings. Here my American brother also didn’t know the language of Bangladesh. “Achcha” means okay in Bangla language in Bangladesh and in Hindi “Achchi hoo”means I am okay. “ Thick hai” means “ Okay”. With this much low levels of poor knowledge also can serve you low levels of works and his this video says it all. If you like these levels of work then do watch a Canadian boy’s trips to Bangladesh too. His KZbin videos also will give you the same levels of wisdom that you have earned from watching my American brother’s work though, enjoy. Be safe and take care. ❤ From S California

Hey Gabriel, this has been an eye opening 2 videos. I looked on Google maps and found Bangladesh and put it on satellite option and could not find anywhere in the country that didn't have people. For this reason I will probably never go to Bangladesh 🇧🇩. In fact I will be leaving Bangkok for the same reason. I just don't do well in over populated areas. I will be moving to the Northeastern part of Thailand and I will be able to look around and see very few buildings. The local village only has about 300 people in it and it's 2 kilometers away and no light pollution. That way I can see the night sky. When I get my telescope here I will be able to watch the night sky every night. I wish you well in your travels my friend and please stay safe.
@hatanokiripres Жыл бұрын
Then the google satellite images are mostly incorrect. The country sides are the exact opposite of Dhaka, there are even huge differences between old and new Dhaka. Also, Bangladesh isn't an external tourism income based country like Thailand or India.

Please try Kachchi Biriyani (famous mutton based biriyani of Old Dhaka) while you are there. Ask at your hotel for a good Kachchi Biriyani restaurant nearby. The Hindu shrine you saw was in Tati Bazar area of Old Dhaka. Hinduism was once the dominant religious practice in this country. Still places like Tati Bazar, Shakhari Bazar, Lokhkhi Bazar of old Dhaka represent the Hindu communities there. Interestingly however, Dhaka’s old buildings are mostly replaced, and you don’t feel like before. Anyway, have a safe and enjoyable trip there. Good luck 🤞 3:28

Chaotic, to say the least. Gabriel, you said the native language of Bangladesh is Bengali, which is a different language than Hindi. All Indians are taught to speak Hindi in schools and the official language of the state wherein they live. It is true that many Bengalis can speak & understand Hindi but, the reverse is not always true. Hindi speakers don’t all know specific state languages such as Bengali, or Tamil Nadu, and etc.
