As a musician, it's really exciting for the song arrangement by Ayese , it's not just an animi song , it's a masterpiece itself, full of Japan stuff inside the song, the keyboard sound is floating up there, a clean and melodic bassline, no break in whole song, incredible!

YOASOBI is playing the Head in the Clouds festival in LA in early August ! Already got my wristband mainly to see them
The venue for this concert is Saitama Super Arena, which is the 3rd largest indoor arena in the world. The capacity is 36,500. I can imagine there were a lot of people there! I've been outside this building, and it's huge. I was actually there last month at a nearby shopping mall.
Yoasobi was the second group that I watched their concert after AAA. Unfortunately AAA disbanded so I'm thankful for Yoasobi that I can watch something within Japan concert again

You'd never get in , Attending concerts to popular Acts is nigh impossible they get sold out so quickly and often involve fan lotteries. You best bet is to attend a concert in a smaller city (if its on the schedule) but good luck getting a ticket in Tokyo or Osaka.

This is an officially edited version of the performance. If you watched the live stream version, (official one. The VOD is time-limited but I think it's still available. The rip of the entire concert was uploaded to youtube but I think it's nuked) the audience's screams and shouts, the "oi oi" parts, everytime the word "idol" was sung the whole audience also screamed the word, the cheers when the confetti fell, you could hear them much clearer even behind the music and the vocal. You could feel the live atmosphere much better in the stream version. This is, in my opinion, one of the best songs ever to watch live. Imagine shouting the "oi oi" and waving your light sticks on beat at the same time with 19000 other people in the arena, I'd pass out from hype lol

Ado : (One-piece film red insert songs vocalist. vocalo's Utaite) Yoasobi : (Oshinoko OP ”IDOL” vocalist. Ayase vocaloP and Ikura utaite) Tatsuya Kitani : (Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd season OP "Aono Sumika" lyrics, composition, vocalist. Vocalo P) Karasu Yasabo, (Oshinoko Vol3 character songs, lyrics, composition. Vocalo P) Kenshi Yonezu : (Chainsaw Man OP "KICK BACK" lyrics, composition, vocalist. Vocalo P. Co-arranged by King Gnu and Daiki Tsuneta.) etc.

All Japanese, so, "突破する”We do. It's do "Break though"
@derweeblord Жыл бұрын
Despite being considered one of the world breaking songs of 2023 having charted at no. 7 at Billboard Global 200 (highest rank of any Japanese artist so far) and no. 1 on the Global excl. US, "Idol" did not make any significant impact on the US singles charts or in any European singles charts, which is unfortunate. It was Yoasobi's really first international breakthrough though, having charted outside of Japan in South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam for the first time. In November, the duo will open for Coldplay on their two Japan shows at Tokyo Dome as part of the Music of the Spheres World Tour. Before that, Yoasobi will perform the USA for the first time in Pasadena, CA in August.
@kreidas123 Жыл бұрын
I wonder if for some reason the US music scene has more favoritism towards Korean Idols versus Japanese Idols..., even though Korean Idols are clearly more "fake" and "manufactured".
@derweeblord Жыл бұрын
@@kreidas123 I can't tell if Korean or Japanese idols are more fake. I mean, Korean idol groups are emerging like mushrooms lately but in Japan, we have idol groups casted by an agency like Johnny & Associates which are all outselling other artists and getting one no. 1 album after another in Japan. The only difference between Korean and Japanese idols is that Korean idol groups are successful on global base while Japanese idols are only successful on the domestic market. Japanese music nowadays gets international recognition when being featured in an anime or worldwide successful video games (the latter is not always the case due to some companies licensing Western music for localized versions of videogames, for example Final Fantasy XIII). Yoasobi are not an idol group which is why I was surprised that the song went through the roof internationally. But it was not enough to enter any Western charts while Kenshi Yonezu was able to hit at least no. 100 in Canadian Billboard charts with his song "Kick Back" (the Chainsaw Man" OP). Don't get me wrong, I really like this song as well (especially his voice) but "Idol" was on a whole other level which is why I was kinda devastated to see that it did not make any impact, despite being self-written and well-written, fusing different kind of music into a really amazing song. I mean, what do Japanese artists need to do to get the oversea recognition they deserve? At least, the will open for Coldplay as part of the Music of the Spheres tour at Tokyo Dome on November 6 and 7.
@kreidas123 Жыл бұрын
@@derweeblord I do agree that in terms of hitting the international markets, the KIdol industry definitely does it better than the JIdol ones, and tbh I think it's because there is a literal "fear" from the JIdol industry to even entering the international market in the first place. And, with the success of Japanese music from TRL to Chage and Aska of olden times to YOASOBI to Kenshi Yonezu, I don't get what that fear is... it's almost if the Japanese music industry is literally afraid to venture too much internationally, and wants to keep things domestic. It should not be a surprise when Japanese bands make it big, but they get surprised anyways. The Japanese "fear" gave the Korean music industry (via PSY and certain Kidol boy bands) to take advantage of that international market. But because there is no "competition" from Japan and other Asian countries, the KIdol industry can literally throw out crap and the international audience will think it's gold. Which is truly unfortunate. I think the first and most important thing for the Japanese music industry is to accept that they're competing in a Global market, and that they have a lot of catching up to do. More importantly, they really have to improve their marketing of their songs, from both a visual and digital direction, and realize that they cannot rely solely on animes and the domestic market. Heck, let them "copy" the Korean strategy!

You mentioned the vocals sound like a studio track, How often do you thing are studio vocals mixed in post production when publishing the "Live Version" after the event. If you are actually attending live your not likely to pick up the imperfections as if you were to listen to the "Live Recording". I understand theres technology these days to assist vocalists who perform live with pre-recorded vocals to put less stress in live performance.
