I will say that I always have found Lewis' argument from desire to be one of his weakest, because it presupposes a kind of strict correlation between object and desire that is itself an ungrounded axiom. Buddhism for example makes a compelling case for our desires being a problem precisely because they don't correspond to reality but run ahead of our nature. And Christianity does also certainly talk about illusory desires.

Many people's home church's no longer exist. Also to Sam's point about going home, many of us in EO never had a home church to begin with. My ancestors were anabaptists, Catholic and methodist. Should I randomly pick one of my barely understood ethnic allegiances over the other? from those three?

A western Christian/secularist homeless and adrift in modernity can either LARP or “just be normal” and join the Catholic Church.
