Is it outrageous to claim that basically the entire American sporting world stopped what they were doing that day, and all watched it together? Seriously, the scene of stadium after stadium, place after place, with all the fans staring at these jumbotrons, with an almost religious quiet, especially as he led down the backstretch... ...it puts the meaning of the Triple Crown in appropriate context.

+VampireYoshi even if you are not a horse racing fan, or even like horses, what was accomplished is an amazing feat. 37 yrs. How many others were so close and had it taken away. You are correct, I think everyone, regardless of whether or not they like horse racing, regardless of whether or not you knew anything about it, you watched to see greatness. You have to at least appreciate that. For me, in my opinion, if watching this doesn't make your heart race, there is something wrong with you.

Secretariat is overrated. He only raced 5x against age-unrestricted fields, and lost 2 of those 5. Other horses have far more wins, against far stronger competition. Such as Forego, Affirmed, Spectacular Bid, John Henry, Cigar, Skip Away.

It's a horse race you horses asses, is it really so hard to believe that the entire world doesn't care about a horse race?! I realize it was a rare triple crown which is why I recorded it, but I also don't have the IQ of a rock to know that some people, aka my wife, may not care. People have different opinions, I get it, which is why I've been putting up with some of these idiotic comments for the past 2 months, but when you start getting personal about someone you don't even know, I felt the need to remind you that not everyone cares what YOU say either. I posted this for people who care, so if you do, then enjoy it and stop stop giving away your true intelligence level. Maybe you wouldn't be so bitter and unworldly if you got off your ass to actually enjoy the world in person rather than online! There's more to life than a horse race, on your computer. Here's a challenge for all you negative nellys out there in KZbin land... Give someone a compliment today, my guess is you haven't done that in a long time. Peace!
