Couple side notes: saros mj round was built up backwards, and when the hee hee happened, he hit the reverse button, and what he did in the first half played back in reverse, revealing Billy Jean. Tioneb's 2nd round was a mix of a round Saro did earlier in the comp. Yes, Saro was unknown before this comp.

​@@skylarr9689 There are only 2 competitions he ever competed in, GBB 2017 and World Champs 2018. He won both and only one judge ever voted against him in NME vs Saro World Champs 2018 Semifinal. All others were clean sweeps

Unknown is a bit unfair, he was about. I knew about him anyway, he was part of Team Punk that beat Berywam in the French champs in 2015.

It's hard to explain without you having been in the scene at the time, but Saro literally changed what people thought was possible on the Machine. People had been using that Machine for YEARS and nobody was doing what Saro was doing. NOBODY. You can even go back and watch the 2016 Finals (and it's even more crazy looking at the 2014 or 2015 finals as well) and the jump is just insane. Like there is Loopstation before Saro and Loopstation after Saro - his impact is literally that crazy.

NME vs Rythmind great battle. NME vs Brez is great battle. And Rythmind vs Frosty is epic also/ + Many many others.

I'm pretty sure the "Saro remix" by Tioneb at the end was a remix of Saro's song that Saro made and submitted to be accepted into the competition, which is dope

It is. The opponent just wasn't anywhere near the same level and the video didn't get as many views. Saro does a bit of rapping, so I get the feeling Tioneb was trying to match saro from that round. Saro won, but Tioneb being able to remix that is absolutely ridiculous as well.

Tioneb is very underrated in the viewership community, but he has so much respect in the beatbox/loopstation community because he 1) Does a lot with a little (his tracks often aren't overly complex, but sound great), 2) He is *known* to do remix tracks of his competitors, even after only hearing them once, and 3) He doesn't really do covers, which for a long time was extremely common, most of his vocal work is his own.

You have to watch Tioneb vs Penkyx. It was the other semi final of 2017. Tioneb performed better there. Some artists use their best songs in earlier rounds that’s why.

I said in last video, Saro was unknown at the time and the reason people where going so crazy is because he was creating music and doing stuff people had never seen or heard before, traditionally it was a lot more beat boxing based with lyrics or raps. Also when Saro dropped the MJ he dripped the track he'd built up in reverse! Thats why you kinda recognised it but didnt. (Back then some of the artists made things up on the spot to "battle", especially Tioneb, but after this tournament it was a lot more prepared tracks to perform) This was a kind of a passing of the torch and took looping in a totally new innovative direction-IMO... You should really go back to watch a lot of the earlier pioneers that Set the foundations, Got to say Thorsen is a favourate of mine 👊

Definately loving the fact your doing loopstation battles and binge watching all of them as we speak. The MJ routine is so dope because the only way he can have done that is by reverse recording everything, your listening to the MJ track in reverse the entire time and almost nobody notices it until he flips it. If you wanna get up on Loopstation stuff, probably one of the craziest upsets in loop history was SO-SO vs. Beatness in GBB2019. SO-SO from Japan busted out some shit on the loop that no one had ever anticipated, and he's massive now. The crowd fucking lost it bro. I have never seen an opponent just look so absolutely baffled and defeated in a loop battle before when they heard their opponents first round and just pretty much knew it was a wrap cause he didn't know wtf was going on. It was the best.
