Totally agree GregBailey, it's just so amazing. To give you my story how I came across them: There was this girl I knew from the internet, back in the day when there were these chat rooms existing. I met her there and we got along. We wrote some letters(!) to each other and finally met one day. She brought me a CD where she had collected some of her favorite songs that I might like, too. It just struck me when watching this video and asking myself "How did I actually come across Nightwish all these years ago?", that it was this girl and her CD. So long story short, I started listening to it and went through the songs until I finally came across Ghost Love Score. What can I say. Everything just clicked and everything just seemed in place in this song like it's supposed to be. I was blown away and that song didn't wanna stop with its ~10minute length. And I didn't want it to stop haha. Every break that came I though the song is gonna be over, but no, it had just gone for 3, then 5, then 7 minutes and kept rocking on. One amazing experience hearing it for the first time, just as you said. Have a nice day all of you out there

Great Reaction. Floor Jansen, our Amazon Queen is 6''1" barefoot, 6' 4/5" on stage, although she's recently moved away from heels. She's Dutch and her name is Dutch for flower. She's got a powerful, athletic build, but most of her impact comes from her passionate, sincere, overwhelming stage presence. Her magical voice has been trained to excel in any genre. Her first gig as a metal front woman was when she was 16; is currently in her early 40s and pregnant with her second child. You'll be hard pressed to find a more modest, kinder, sweet person. Lives on a farm in a Swedish forest with cats, dogs and horses and she rides a Clydesdale and is learning dressage. Of course her 'dog" is a giant Irish Wolfhound. Celebrates the end of her concerts with a shot of whiskey and a cigar.

Floor is 6'1" tall. She is married to the drummer of Saboton. They are expecting their second child. She previously fronted Master of Reality and ReVamped. She has classical training, She's a very nice person in real life speaks at least Dutch (her native tongue), Finnish, and English and she is the total fucking package. She can sing anything, pretty much any style. The rest of the band is primarily Finnish from Kittee Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player is the primary composer and arranger for the band. The flaming steer heads is the logo for the annual Wacken (pronounced Vockin) Open Air Festival. Floor Jansen is Nightwish's thirsd vocalist. She was preceded by She was preceded by Annette Olzon who replaced original vocalist Tarja (pronounced Tarya) Tarunen. Floor joined this band officially in October 2012 mid tour when Annette was dismissed/fired/quit. If you watch Ghost Love Score Live in Buenos Aires, this was Floor right after she jumped into the band, maybe one or two weeks in and she still kills it.

The flaming 'skull' is the Wacken Open Air logo (pronounced Vaken) in Germany - one of the three largest annual rock festivals in the world. 82,000 watched this performance. Floor is their third singer (first Tarja Turunen from 1997 to 2005, then Annett Olzon from 2006 to 2012, now Floor Janssen). She had only been in th band for 5 months before this concert. The founder (with guitarist Emppu Vuorinen) and keyboard wizard, composer, and orchestral arranger is Tuomas Holopainen. Much of the symphonic sound comes from his synthesizer, with the heavy orchestral background done by the London Philharmonic.

@edgriswold8736 No, that was approx. 10 months before this. Just look for “Please learn the set list in 48 hours” to get an insight into that. I made the same mistake some time ago though, so no sweat. Everybody makes mistakes. Still very impressive how she took all these songs, this being the 13th out of 15, and ran with it. And then this is what you get only 10 months later. She just “owns” the whole frickin’ thing. Some people prefer Tarja’s version of GLS, others like Floor’s better and yet others don’t care. The main difference I see is, Tarja’s version is more like a classical concert, while Floor’s version is more like a performance. It’s actually really hard to compare them, and honestly not really fair. Both versions are really outstanding in their own right. Hope this helps. Just wanted to get this misunderstanding out of the way. We have to live with more than enough disinformation already nowadays.

The reason you've never heard of them is the sad state of American corporate radio. Metal bands like Nightwish, Sabaton, and many others can fill stadiums in Europe yet be completely ignored by US radio that would rather play whatever autotuned garbage or bland "butt rock" is being pushed by the major labels. I give full credit to the KZbin reactor community for introducing me to countless amazing bands I never would have even heard of if I stuck to what corporate radio and social media algorithms told me I'm supposed to like.

This symbol 🤘 was adopted into rock by Ronnie James Dio(from Dio the band). He is of Italian descent. He used to see his grandmother use 🤘 all the time. In Italian superstition, the 🤘 is called "le corna"(the horns). When someone gives you the "evil eye"(known as the malocchio), or when you encounter bad luck, negative situations etc., you would use le corna, which represents the bull horns(and the strength/power of the bull) to ward off/fight the evil energy. It's easy for people to get really isolated musically and only really know about a particular genre, even before streaming people would generally listen to radio stations that played the specific music they're into. The rise of reaction content seems like it's exposing a lot of people to great music in genres they never would have given a chance otherwise. It's fun seeing hiphop fans experiencing Nightwish or Jinjer for the first time, and metalheads finding the likes of Kendrick, and everything in between.

In 2013, at this concert, Floor (Dutch) was a "session" singer, hired to finish the tour. She'd only been with them 5-8 months!! Obviously they offered the gig full time at the end of this tour. Dude, check her out in 2018, where her arms are fully tattooed, she has GUNS! She is 6' 0.5" barefoot. Her husband (Swedish) is about 6'3" and they live in Sweden.

Floor Jansen is called the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy. Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6). She can sing from classical to belting and raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. And she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Plus, huge vocal nerd 😉. Floor Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. She studied musical theatre and a year of opera. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon (Second singer of Nightwish after Tarja) as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour (And she had to learn the setlist in 48h). On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. And the master of this magic is: Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen (founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish) Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics. Hello Black Pegasus. Nightwish Army fan here. Welcome to our world of symphonic metal withour 6'1" (barefoot) 6'5" in boots, Valkyrie goddess, Floor Jansen (Yan-sen). Floor had only been with Nightwish 10 months at the time of this Wacken 2013 show and is still the Nightwish female lead vocalist. I am a Metal Head at heart. I have never been a fan of rap. I love watching younger generations that listen to rap discover a whole other world (mine) in music. By watching all of you react, I came across Nightwish. Now Nightwish is my favorite band with Sabaton a close 2nd (drummer is married to Floor Jansen who is the singing goddess of Nightwish- check out their stuff too!) I was privileged to see Nightwish live at a intimate 5,000 person venue in Toronto at tail end of COVID-19, and be close to the stage. It was a musical experience far beyond anything I have ever seen. Incredible!! I suggest you react to a couple of songs: Listen to Floor Jansen join Epica live to perform one of their songs with them. The harmonies of these two female vocal powerhouses together is breath-taking. It’s “Santa Terra” live with Floor Jansen. Outstanding!! Second recommendation is your world fused with my favorite genre of “Symphonic Metal”. It’s Within Temptation collaborating with Xzibit. You wouldn’t think symphonic metal would work with strong rap, but it is honestly incredible. It’s called “We Run”. As Rap fans & artists who have just started to dip your toes in the world of symphonic metal, this will blow you away. Enjoy!!

This is the 13th song of a 15 song set hence the slight pauses ect , shout out to the drummer incredible never seen a double bass drum at the front before . The cheers when she came on is because this is the iconic song of this group and the fact that this is the third singer this band has had , and this is her first tour i believe

Plus she had been part of another band before this (for anyone who is curious, ReVamp is the name of that band). Considering this is Wacken Open Air, the largest annual metal festival in the world, if any crowd was going to know who she was so soon after joining, it was going to be this one.

​@@TheComicBookJoker I think you are thinking of the Buenos Aires show which was at about 2 months. Floor joined the tour in Oct 2012 in the US before they went to South America and further. This video at Wacken was in the following Summer 2013 European festival concert tour 10 months after she went on tour with Nightwish. Fans took notice after only a few shows how great Floor was with Nightwish. Ghost Love score was added to the set because it was one Floor liked and she added her own flair at the end. All these songs were written for the 2 prior singers. Floor and Troy ( did not play on this song) were announced to be official members of the band shortly after this show. Yes the audience had seen Floor front other bands at Wacken, but this was the first time seeing her front Nightwish at this festival. The audience was loving the show after seeing her a absolutely kill singing in 11 prior songs ( 1 instrumental). In Amaranth, Floor actually got the audience to perfectly sing some of the lyric lines. I think even Tuomas was amazed at the response. The whole concert is magical and was recorded by the great Nightwish video production team. Nightwish even made a movie and there are lots of documentaries.

In the background of Nighwish music, you can hear the London Philharmonic Orchestra playing on the background tape. Our Valkyrie Goddess is Dutch but the band is from Finland. There is another band member, Troy, who is from England. He plays folk instruments and now does the backing male vocals. The bass player and drummer seen in this performance have retired from the band and have been replaced. Both of those replacements are from Finland. Our Goddess is the third lead singer for the band.

To put it in perspective- this is like watching Hi Ren. It’s a good introduction, but you have so many surprises to come if you keep with them. I enjoyed your AWESTRUCK reaction. She’s absolutely INCREDIBLE and the BAND of musicians are EPIC. I love rewatching AMERICANS watch her for the first time. I pray she returns to do more EPIC Singing with this group because they do sound like a MOVIE SCORE. Great 👍🏽 Choice. Yes 🙌🏽 she’s mesmerizing. I also love a young girl from RUSSIA 🇷🇺 DIANA ANKUDINOVA who recently was participating on a MASK SINGER SHOW and her last performances demonstrate her range. I would recommend “SWEET DREAMS” cover originally from the 80’s classic by the EURYTHMICS. Following her 9th performance of an ARIA that is an OPERA cover “FLY ON THE WINGS OF WIND”. She has been performing since she was 4-5 years old and because she was traumatized by her biological mother her adopted parents got her vocal lessons to facilitate her speech. She is 19’ years old , I’ve been a fan for several years and she shockingly impressed me. She has an INCREDIBLE LOW TONE that’s a polyphonic sound that many often feels like it’s a male singing. Due to the show being blocked a fan “KOR” is providing clips, but you won’t be disappointed. Her costume is a JAPANESE FOX 🦊. As a CALIFORNIAN I’m happy to see others listening to music outside the box. 🙋🏻‍♀️

A little history. Floor Jansen the singer joined this band two weeks before this show. This is her first show with the band in front of 80 thousand people and filmed on DVD. Talk about pressure! This woman is a born Rock star and proves it here in this show. No one else could have the stones to do this on the first gig. This whole concert is perfect! She killed it on every song! This is historic!
