Floor Jansen is indeed Dutch. The rest of the band is from Finland except for the one member you didn't see in this video, Troy Donockley, multi-instrumentalist, who is English. That large "organ" is a prop, hiding the keyboards of the composer and lyricist of most of the songs of this band, Tuomas Holopainen, who is often called the "Metal Mozart." This song introduces the band, but there is so much more to come. Every member is an extremely talented musician who plays for the song. Their teamwork is phenomenal and the resulting music is a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. I hope you continue down this path, where every song is different, and there isn't a bad song in the bunch.

Yes, Floor Jansen is Dutch. Married to Hannes van Dahl, the drummer of the Swedish band Sabaton. Previous band Floor was a memeber of were After Forever and Revamp. Soon the general of the Nightwish army will react to you and give you the details of the band. It is very informative, like the cooperation they have with the London Symphonic Orchestre and also some choirs. Enjoy especially the live versions, they are the best. This version of this song was at the Wacken metal festival, they were the main act at this festival and their concert was 2 hours and more than 82 thousend paying attendees.

Hello Anthony Ray ! Nightwish fan here, your musical quest summoned me. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you and your friend @BlakcPegasus for checking this legendary band! This live recording is from Wacken Open Air 2013, together with Floor Jansen [pronounced Yansen], the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of an 82K audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen [pronounced Tuo-mas], the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [Sami Vanska was the bassist of the band starting with their 2nd studio album, he was with them until 2001. Then Marco Hietala was bassist and vocals, since 2001 to 2020. He recently announced his retirement both from the band and the public life for the next year at least. Then in May 2021 Jukka Koskinen [pronounced Yukka] became the bassist of the band, for the Human :II: Nature tour - and recently, the band announced he became a permanent member] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen [he also recorded the bass lines for their 1st studio album]. Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen [pronounced Yukka] is the drummer. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). The keyboardist is who composes and directs 90% of their music that Oregon in front of him is just a front for his keyboard that is at the Wacken open air festival. There are 82 or 80,000 people there. It’s a festival in Germany if you hadn’t heard for rock bands, it’s kind of the Olympics in my opinion and that feeling you get when she hits that last high note, everybody affectionately calls that a floorgasm

Anthony, I am a little surprised that you have never heard Nightwish before, specifically because Floor is the vocalist now. She is their Third vocalist and from what the band leader (and their Keyboardist) Tuomas has said, there won't be another vocalist after her. There are GREAT reasons that this is one of the top-most reacted-to videos on the internet. NIGHTWISH is one of the greatest bands to see live. This particular performance was at Wacken, Germany in 20013 where there were somewhere around 82,000 people in attendance. Can you imagine the RUSH of the feeling of power, having THAT MANY people wrapped around your little finger while leading them in a chant and getting them to do whatever you wanted for that moment? OMG! Not many people could manage what Floor did in this video. Every member of this band is World-Class in their roles and you just can't go wrong with a group like them.

Not "everyone"... I LOVE this song and Nightwish and Floor, so I let a potential boyfriend listened to this song, hoping he would love it too. He listened looking bored and just said something like: "Hm... way too long". Because of this I found out he was a narcissist that could not feel the emotions from this song or Floor's voice, and this insight saved me from a LOT of heartache and misery I think. :) So it can actually help discover narcs as they get exposed by their inability to feel emotions.

To be this on point when this was the 13th song of a 15 song set...amazing! The guitar solo proves that often less is more. And don't get me started on the drumming. As a drummer for 54 years (I'm 61), I cannot tell you how tricky this is. And Flors vocals...what can you say...?

And Floor is also married to the drummer in the Swedish band Sabaton ( modern metal bards when it comes to war history ( since you are getting all the nightwish lore i go for the more obscure info connected to nightwish) .. great live ( fun dudes) amazing music videos ( Christmas truth, Bismarck or 1916) .. torching animated versions with a lot of history ( no bullets fly, nightwitches) .. lives are really good ( Gothenburg “ en livstid I krig” English subtitles comes to mind .. and more) .. but when it comes to nightwish .. romanticide and song of myself
