Of the many short sketches done by all types of comedians ,I think this stands out as my all time favourite. If I watched it one thousand times ,knowing it off by heart ,I should still double up with laughter.

You have to have eaten in an English works canteen to appreciate this routine 100%. It hits every spot exactly dead centre every time. They are almost as scared of injuries from hot food, crockery or utensils as workers in a MacDonalds.

This isn't all there is to the special, this is just a clip from it. Same with Dress to Kill, it's a much longer show. You should find the entire shows and watch them, even if you don't react to them. He does a lot of "call back humor" where he makes a joke and then refers back to it again and again in very subtle ways and looks to see who catches it. He's really good. :)

In everyone elses he hasn't done much recently and has fallen off the radar a little. he rarely gets a mention nowadays. stop 3 people in the street and ask them to name 3 stand up comedians. Eddie is unlikely to be one of them. This is not a value judgement. I think he's fabulous. just an observation.
