Confirming, really nice and also funny guy, when he was on a TV show he easily got into the spirit and entertained people and was sweet. Sure, on the pitch he broke some bones and also wasn't afraid of getting hurt. Not sure about Botha being that nice but he was two times meaner.

Yeah, he's French. I like to call him the "Neanderthal freight train", that's fits him perfectly! Apparently he's gentle and calm as an old house cat in everyday life. Only on the field is he a rampaging monster. He was filmed inside Disneyland Paris' Tower of Terror and he was a LOT less confident than when playing rugby! 😂

France's "Caveman" - a beast on the pitch and a true gentleman off it. If you haven't reacted to him yet, try some Jonah Lomu! And yeah, it's not a safe sport and some of the tackles can be rough but the most dangerous ones are all illegal and the players - despite being aggressive - are professional enough to know where to draw the line (99% of the time).

Yeah...a lot of countries underrated France. But in a lot of things, France still a powerfull country! Manufacturers, engineers, sports, technology, science (chemicals products is the first country's export), fighter aircraft capacity with the best aircrafts (the Rafale win every tests and pilots too), culture of war and tactics... I'm mixing it all up a bit because there remains a resentment in the hearts of the French which is powerful and which pushes the people to constantly surpass themselves in a very high level of reliability. I don't say France is the best...but it's a powerfull, precise and efficient people. 😱😱 They are scary sometimes....🤣🤣

The tackle at 9:40 is known as a 'tap tackle'. You grab or 'tap' the ball carrier's ankle or foot to disrupt his stride pattern so he goes down. Sometimes you will see a winger heading for the line do a little back leg skip to prevent a tap.

He was sitting down initially and when i went up to him he stood up and i just remember him getting taller and taller and my head going from a level position to almost looking straight up, besides the height he was also huge!!! he autographed my shirt and then almost crushed my hand when he shook it after but it was worth it... he was a really nice guy smiled and laughed with everyone who came to talk to him

Do you not realise yet - you can only be hit / tackled when you have the ball. So what this means if you have the ball you are ready and waiting, you tense yourself up. The only nod I will give to American football they can be hit at ANY time which is why they (try and) justify padding
