I believe the idea is that Tina told the Wolfster that Daniel is in fact Max's kid but because he's a good bloke that has raise Daniel from birth anyway he is his Dad really, so he just lets bygones be bygones sort of on the unspoken deal of we'll get you out of prison and you can meet Daniel now but please leave it be, and Max understands that, so yeah alls well that ends well I suppose haha

I mean there's no way the Wolfster wasn't going to find out about Max stealing the bus and his reasons for doing so. She couldn't simply hide the newspaper every day. It would have been big local news and the gossip of the parents and the school. Max would have obviously mentioned his son at the trial. The Wolfster may have visited Max in prison himself after he learned about it. Tina knew she couldn't simply let it blow over, she had to tell him and it's better hearing it from her than him finding out any other way.

KB, there are no conjugal visits permitted in British prisons. However, recently there has been cases of female prison officers employed in male prisons, providing some prisoners with 'benefits and favours' in excess of TVs and games consoles. Resulting in their dismissal from the prison service.

I think this is a better story to follow, Phoenix Nights had more water cooler moments. You could reference Phoenix nights in the playground, or during a work break. I agree with you though. The prison scenes were filmed in a real working prison, my local HMP Preston, not that I've visited that prison or any other for that matter lol. You can even see my beloved football club "PNE" etched into the cell wall. Massive everywhere we go, even banged up, North End massive!
