You complimented Electric Callboy on their screams/growls. A fun fact... one of our angels in BABYMETAL, Momometal, actually contributed to the screams. When Kevin, holding the cable, screams, "Are you ready?" The second "Are you ready?" is actually Momometal! Towards the end, Momometal is adding her "Everybody" into the scream mix with Kevin. As stated in an interview, BABYMETAL has fangs, and Momometal has shown hers!

I second, or third, or whatever, the suggestion you check you EC's Every Time We Touch, I think you were confusing their goofing around to them 'trying to keep up with BabyMetal'... when in fact they were actually dragging BM into the fun zone. come on, lit up cat ears! ;) EC (by the way it's CALLboy not COWboy, but I know, the movie makes you want to say cowboy) is a very very talented group. Hell, Nico (the clean singer) merges so well with SU on the second and third choruses it sounds like one voice almost.

From what I can tell, BabyMetal is much poppier/bubbly in this than they usually are, whereas EC is just like that but tamed down several notches for this (their vids have been wild)

if you liked the industrial metal sound, Rammstein: Paris - Du Hast (Official Video) is a really popular video to react to for good reason. electric callboy was likely influenced by rammstein and that specific video is my second favorite live performance on youtube (second only to babymetal: road of resistance live in japan)

Haha I have no idea if Kevin and Nico, Electric Callboy frontmen, could dance better than that. But I am sure of one thing. If they can I am pretty sure they will choose to dance like that anyway. They certainly dance more in some other videos, still not sure it's technically great dancing, but it's certainly funny as hell. Also they do a great job of helping to show the quality of Babymetal's dancing.

I suspect that they probably started off trying to do the choreo along with Babymetal, but then realized that Babymetal were on a whole other skill level when it comes to dancing, and decided it would be funnier if they did awkward dad dancing instead.

So, if you want to take a look at what EC have done so far, you will have to catch up to 14 years of band history. If you want a short synopsis of their career, here are some of the bullet points (centering more around the bands background): [‼Attention: Wall of text/Info dump ahead‼] 💖The band was founded in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy by six guys from Castrop-Rauxel a former coal mining city in the eastern part of the Ruhr Area within the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany 💙Name change in 2022 to Electric Callboy - they explain the reasons in two videos on their KZbin page. 💛In 2020 their singer Sebastian 'Sushi' Biesler left the band to found his new project 'Ghostkid' and was replaced by Nico Sallach a longtime friend of the band whose own Band (To The Rats And Wolfs) was newly disbanded at the time. 💜The introduction single for Nico 'Hypa Hypa' was also the international breakthrough for the band. Since then they had headline tours in Europe, USA (sold out) and Australia (sold out). Electric Callboy in its current manifestation is an absolute LIVE-Band! They truly shine on the stage - give it a try and watch a live concert. Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍 Is it just a coincidence that the two bands are to perform on the same days in the same places in several European festivals in June ?

FYI BM fans are hilariously sharing online the discoball helmets, heart sunglasses, cat ears headbands, that mini R2D2 thingy (actually a GARNECK student waste basket!) now that their impulsive buys are starting to be delivered. Someone even recreated the MV's karaoke set (with the requisite hole in the wall). Mind you, our international fandom is an older demographic (with better disposable income), & so joyful at being able to re-live our youth vicariously again. Actually this genre (electronicore) isn't new: industrial rock & metalcore had fused together during the new millenium & spawned many subgenres. EC's uniqueness is that they switched creative direction in 2020 (their 10th year) after clean singer Nico joined & screamo guy Kevin also took a more frontman role. They would politically-correct their band name, self-style their new music as 'partycore' (all-out fun, playfulness, satirical), & go viral internationally with it. As for BM, electronicore is known as 'pikorimo' ピコリーモ in Japan, & they had actually started out with several pikorimo-laced songs (Megitsune, line!, Uki Uki Midnight, Yava, etc.) during their early days, & their first collaborator (Kiba of Akiba) was also pikorimo. Back then, Westerners were disparaging the likes of pikorimo, 'anison' アニソン or anime songs, as well as 'bokaroido' ボーカロイド or vocaloid songs (check out the crowd participation at Hatsune Miku's live concerts) as merely 'weeb' music. When BM invaded the metal scene overseas, the foreign music press would grudgingly acknowledge the uniqueness & coined another name (kawaii metal) for it.

This was a great collab, it was not a feature or somehing like that. EC said it was a real 50/50 collab. A man, how well they both fit together. There is potential for more. I think, EC dancing on the sofa, was intended. First let them do their thing and later a synchronized dance. But yeah, real dancing is more a Baby Metal thing. EC only showed they had fun with dancing as well. If you want to react to EC try "We got the moves" or "Hypa, Hypa" which has fantastic dancing.

In fact this us something that Babymetal wants. It doesn't want to Sound like Babymetal since this would mean thst they would use the Kami Band but this is not in the books of their lean Workflow. Tha Kami Babd is for their live Purposes, nothing Else. They are good but they are not cheap instead from the Side of Babymetal, they want to share the other Band if possible, otherwise they use their own Studio musicians. This is their third lean production workflow. The first was Kingslayer, a more or less typical Corona Workflow with essential the same purpose. Then they hot in 2023 a visit of their friend F. Hero abd he asked for their help. This only listened like Vabymetal since as a Courtesey Bodyslam tried to play like a Kami Band. So I think on this Model they wanted to demonstrate, we play like you want. For their their girls this is nothing new, they do this anyway so for Babymetal these are running costs. It has nothing to do with the project, Su, Moa and Momo sinply need to eat something and they want to live in their own Jones and not in the Studio... and thfy have their complete production workflow ready. Their support staff, that can activate what is needed. The default is a 50/50 workflow since they learned from Uzi. They will remember you that you have something in your Pipeline, that you are paying for... How to get Babymetal into your Sound that is done by their own workflow they know their own capabilities. The default is, we will get our girls into your Sound no matter what you throw at them. So we see what this woeflow can do and what it can't do. They can offer a groundbreaking Choreo but what do you do with it thevorices will also be groundbreaking, since you ordered Babymetal. So in a Way this is no Song by itself but a Business Proposal.
