So I have heard, but you have to admit that he hasn't really been known in Finland at all. For myself, this was the first time I ever heard about him. In that way, he is similar to Käärijä, who, to be honest, was probably even less known. Anyway, this is a true continuation of last year's Portion Boys and Teflon Brothers x Pandora before that.

As someone who started watching Eurovision a half dozen years ago, all I can say is this is SO Finland. Every year when I see Finland's entry, I always say "Finland: what the f--- is wrong with you?" 😄 They go for this vibe rather than any sort of serious performance, which is 180 degrees opposite of their Swedish neighbors.

The live show is also a playful reference to Finnish mythology, according to which the world was born out of an egg of the goldeneye duck. Henri is the bird that laid the egg. W95M is born, obviously, 'naked', and eventually his magic trademark denim shorts descent from the sky, and he comes alive. Yes, there is more to it what you see first. Finns got this. Can't wait to see what they will do in Eurovision.

The lyrics have actually quite a positive message, even though perhaps not the most original one, that could be summarised "Be yourself and don't care what the others think". Here's part of lyrics: Call me what you may, see if I care, see me slay Is there something wrong with the way I look? Is there something wrong with who I am? If I'm not alright, tell me why do I Feel so beautiful tonight?

I agree. It’s not as much the message that’s original, but the words used and the tone of the singers voice and the song itself is very optimistic I feel too much songs nowadays (especially with a somewhat similar message to this song) sounds too depressing / sad. There’s no sense of optimism / hope, it’s done too seriously This song is not serious at all, full of energy and again optimism. It’s what’s lacking in this day and age

First of all It’s not a joke entry, Per Se, it’s fun entry with deeper meaning lyrics: Is there something wrong with the way I look? Is there something wrong with who I am? If I'm not alright, tell me why do I Feel so beautiful tonight? No rules! It's how I live How I find the wind beneath my wings, It's how I learn to fly! It’s an anthem for being who you are 🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🎉🎊 And at the same time it’s a birth story🦅🥚 I Love the message and also how it combines the Finnish mythodology Kalevala where the world is created from the goldeneye’s’ egg. In the stage performance the singer Henri represents the bird (see the similarity of the movements the clothing) and the Windows95man is born (as all humans) naked. The stage coordinator tries in the middle of the song give the rules to our hero but he throws the instructions flying in the air. He wants to be free and who he is despite what the others try him to be! He is looking for his jeans shorts and finally they descent from the heaven (mythodology) and our guy becomes Windows95man and starts the party with cheerful fireworks!💥 DJ Windows95man have been dj:ing now 11 years already and he is also a visual artist. Henri Piispanen is professional singer and voice actor. They met while doing this project and liked each other’s and decided to participate in ESC.

But people wanted to bring joy and happiness to the ESC that is needed and that this song represents US Finns: we are weird and goofs. We have never succeed with juries and we never will because of the previous lines reasons, so people just don’t care anymore. Better send something positive that is US and brings positive vibes and emotions! 🎉

​@@Bandido894People need to understand that everything funny doesn't have to be a joke. 🤷🏻‍♂️ This is a novelty act and they were in this 100%, not joking around, but entertaining people, and I think they did it really well. 👍🏻 In Finnish, we have this saying "Tosissaan mutta ei vakavasti", literally "Seriously but not seriously". English just doesn't have seperate meanings for these words, but the meaning is that you try hard (take seriously), but you don't get mad if you lose (take seriously).

I'm pretty sure 'most Europeans' find it quite entertaining and don't give a flying f if some Eurovision fan finds it a joke or not.

Egg is from Finnish national epic Kalevala. World was created from the fragments of an egg. I think in this, Windows95Man borns naked and go through growth and in the end he has pants when he has grown... or something like that maybe 😄 Anyways, this performance has way more layers than first meet the eye, well, I think that, or maybe I'm just reaching 😄

Okay, this is this year's trash song. I find it absolutely terrible. 🤪As a German, I'm reminded of the 1990s and the German band "Scooter," and I found them terrible even back then. We call this kind of music "Kirmes-Techno" - as the goofiest form of wannabe techno. In fact, this song sounds very "German", but even we as the ones with the chronic last place wouldn't send this song to the ESC. 🤣
