In this video, I react to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral highlights and the funeral march as the amazingly beautiful 'Mist Covered Mountains' was played by the Scottish and Irish Pipes and Drums. Im moved by the sincerity and precision of the ceremony. Join me
as i explore the grand farewell for Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.
The Queen’s coffin is taken in procession to Westminster Abbey to the tune of "Mist Covered Mountains" by the massed Pipes and Drums of the Scottish and Irish Regiments, Royal Navy, Gurkhas and Royal Air Force service men and women.
Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed this Queen Elizabeth II funeral reaction, please give this video a thumbs up, share your thoughts in the comments, and click the subscribe button to follow as I explore the beautiful UK.

It was a beautiful funeral. I was taken into hospital the day after she died. I was in a room with three strangers. We watched the funeral together. It powerfully brought us together. We all loved her.

I am not a monarchist, but this still makes me tear up. Her Majesty was a great lady, and we shall not see her like again. When the news came through that she had died, I was on the phone with a friend. We had been talking about how we were expecting the news, but when it came through, we both cried. It felt as if we had lost a dear relative because, for the whole of my life, she had been an example of duty. It was a pity that the video did not include the piper playing "Sleep Dearie, Sleep". You should check out the queue of people waiting to pay their respects to Her Late Majesty, and also the time when the grandchildren stood guard round the coffin.

I don't live in Britain but was glued to my computer when news came in that she was nearing her end. I would not budge & then the news came "Queen is Dead". I was stunned even though she was 96. I truly thought she would make it to 100 like her mother & was hoping she would be the longest serving Monarch of all time & out do King Louis XVI of France who reigned for 72 years. A lovely lady who gave her all. She was blessed & loved.

I'm not a monarchist either. My plan for the day was to watch the procession of the Queen's coffin to Westminster Abbey and then go for a cycle ride. Several hours later, I was still watching the funeral. I know we Brits tend to see the negatives sooner than the positives, but when it comes to pageantry no nation comes even close.

Unlike American state funerals, in Britain the coffin is carried shoulder-high as a mark of respect

Queen Elizabeth was still queen and therefore all the Crown Jewels were placed on her coffin. These remained in place until inside St George’s Chapel where there was a ceremonial removal of the Crown and sceptre. The sceptre being effectively broken into two, signalling the end of her reign. Not forgetting that there was a service at Westminster Abbey before going on to Windsor and St George’s Chapel. Her coffin being lead lined.

The sceptre was not broken. The Lord Chamberlain broke apart the Wand of Office, signifying the end of his service to Her Late Majesty.

I still can't watch this without tears in my eyes. You need to find an extended version, especially the journey of the hearse from London to Windsor so that you can see the crowds of ordinary people standing at the side of the road to pay their respects to their Queen.

Hello, that was the Queen’s royal standard that King Charles placed on the coffin so that her troops would always know where to find her! That’s what the commentator said and it brought me to tears!! This was at the end of a long day, these were very short clips and of course you can’t sit through it all like many here. I certainly did. Let me give you a summary of what took place on that day of her funeral. But before I do that I’m sure you know that she died in Scotland and a service and procession was held there for her before her daughter Princess Anne accompanied her on the drive to the airport where the Queen was flown to London. In London , in a glass topped hearse , she was driven at night in the evening darkness ( the hearse lit up inside so everyone could see, planned by the Queen herself) to Buckingham Palaces where she was overnight so her family could pay respects. The next day there was a large procession down the Mall taking the Queen to Westminster Hall (not Abbey) where she lay in state for three days and the people who had been queuing for days were able to go in and file past the coffin. After three days she was taken from there to Westminster Abbey for the main funeral service as was seen in your first video. After that, THE official funeral procession slow marched from Westminster Abbey down Whitehall, through Horseguards and up the Mall this time not to Buckingham Palace where (although the procession did pass it) the procession proceeded to Wellington Arch. There the coffin which had been on a gun carriage was transferred to the hearse where it was taken to Windsor Castle (about 20 miles away) where there was another procession up ‘The Long Mile’. Another church service in Windsor Chapel for friends and family. This was where the coffin was lowered into the vault ( as seen in your second clip) and a lone piper played as he walked slowly out of sight. Now you can see why I say these clips were so short! It will give you a clearer picture of the day and if you view other videos , you can probably work out which part you’re looking at! Anyway thanks for taking me back to that day, whenever one comes up I always get drawn into watching again 😊 sorry to end on a bit of a down note but the music quality was not the best but maybe it was out of your control? The pipers sounded like they were under water. Not a criticism, an observation 😊 ps in the videos watch how the Royal Navy pulled the carriage with ropes and sailors behind it holding ropes to act as brakes!

Make a list of which of these places you want to visit for when you come over. Then you can see for yourself where this bit of history happened. Tip for your children: I collected pencils for each place I visited. A Windsor Palace, Hampton Court, The Tower of London etc. All their gift shops all sell them, they are light, cheap, easy to pack & make useful presents. Still got mine. From Yorkshire

The items removed from the coffin and placed on the high altar, signifying the end of Elizabeth’s reign, are the imperial state crown, the orb, and the sceptre; the small flag which Charles places on the coffin is the Queen’s Company camp colour used to identify the whereabouts of the commanding officer; and the Lord Chamberlain, the most senior member of the household, his duty done, breaks his wand of office (not seen here). All of this was done in silence, not with an organ playing. The editor of this video (whose name appears at the end) has produced her own version of a state funeral by inserting music and people speaking when there was silence, removing symbolic elements, and muddling several aspects of an immaculately planned and executed ceremonial.

You might like this British military video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3qbaYGgi9CtqdUsi=n0yabnIR1vUpZm3U Just as an aside, the black population of the UK is around 4% of the total compared to 12% in the USA, and the entire population is much smaller. The UK armed forces also don't have the problem with natural hair that the US do.
