So the crazy thing about Siya is not these highlights. It's the things behind the scenes that you don't see. Squidge rugby explains it perfectly in his video on the 2023 World cup final. Siya is just the most inspirational leader that South Africa has had. He grew up as poor as they come with many siblings and just his mom to raise them. He forged a career from the start he was given and went all the way to winning the world cup back to back. The way he loves his teammates and inspires the best from them is what is amazing.
@QSNgg6 ай бұрын
I love that Jason and you're spot on! I just finished Chasing the Sun part 1 yesterday and see how respected Siya is. It was awesome to learn about his life growing up and the adversity he overcame to get to where he is now. I love his backstory and see how amazing of a man he is beyond his highlights Thanks so much for pointing that out and mentioning it. You're 100% correct 🙌🏽

I feel all of them are so amazing and some of them are overlooked. I am also so happy you watching the Chasing the Sun, the second one hits different for us. Rassie"s big thing was about creating mismatches on the field. Red jersy promo wikipeda article 2017 saw the Springboks wear a red change jersey at Argentina as part of an Asics promotion where the Springboks and Blitzboks wore jerseys in all the colours of the South African flag during the course of the season-the main side wore green, white, and red shirts, while the sevens team turned out in gold, blue and black uniforms.

@@QSNgg if we were doing rugby league now would be the time to explain the Dally M medal. There is a tradition in League, Union and AFL (Brownlow medal) that the mvp award is for fairest and best. Flankers use to be called “Wing Forwards” back in the 60’s+70’s because one of their key attributes as a forward is their speed and short distance sprints. Flankers are known to have a similar speed to centres. Although Centre are expected to be and generally are faster.

South African clubs have had cheerleaders for quite a while but I've never seen them at a Springbok match. Rugby lingo doesn't use Strong or Weak side. It's the Open side or the Blind side. The Blind side has less eyes on it.

Being versatile is important in South African rugby. We value having players that can fills multiple role,for instance kolisi on the wing is for offense and defence,offensively he can make meters against smaller backs and secure rucks.Defensively he can stop mistmatches and contest agaisnt smaller backs. In high school we get thoight the same things so that one day we can be that versatile player.
