Hellevator is the first song they ever wrote as Stray Kids. It is about the blood, sweat and tears of the journey to succeed. This song is a tribute to their journey and reflects back to old songs and MVs in it. In the end scene they go to the top level "H" and at the top of the elevator behind Hyunjin (last guy to get off the elevator) it says "Haven" so going to perform for fans, Stay is them going from hell to their haven. It's a love song to their group of 8, confirmation that they will not break up as a group and a love song to the fans that have supported the journey.

They have been doing “everything” for the last 6-7 years . Listening to all over 190+ songs is like a variety chocolate box of genres.

Actually, its 230.... Stray Kids have around 230 tracks legitimate tracks they themselves have created and released. This is counting Korean, Japanese and English language tracks, including both group and passion projects, such as duets and solos, but only if Stray Kids members own copyrights and the song is officially released on Spotify under the group name. More specifically, this number includes one version only of any given title... ie no Japanese/English versions of Korean songs and no Korean versions of Japanese songs, no Remixes, no remakes, and only group OSTs as they are attributed to the members, unlike individual OSTs, such h as the ones performed by Seungmin. That said, there is another10 or so that are not yet officially released on an album, but once they are, they will be officially included in the count.

Oh man... there are like, 6 videos to watch to catch all the references in this video. The boys very much went through hell to get where they are. Bang Chan (aka Chan or Chris, the leader) was a trainee for 7 years, getting passed over for debut over and over again. Things got pretty dark for him, but he trained his ass off, learned all different styles of dance, music, and producing & songwriting. The other 7 boys came in and Chan hand picked the group himself. Then they went through a "reality show" to fight for a chance to debut. They had weekly challenges and typically had to write new songs for all of them. One of those challenges is where the song *Hellevator" comes from. Two of the boys were eliminated 😭 but eventually got a final opportunity to prove themselves and stayed to debut in the group. Being that they make such wild music, they didnt fit the standard, they didn't really get the same push that other groups with the company got. But, they did what they always did and busted ass. Making their own flavor and sound. The press literally came up with a new name to classify their music, Malatang. God's Menu (song/mv) is them playing with that title.

"Oh so we just hop from genre to genre, too? Why???" 🤣They were on the Hellevator because they went through Hell to debut and elevate to the top. **sobs in Stay** If you really want to deep dive from the start, this song actually references a lot of their earlier title tracks and makes a great... ahem... Blueprint. ;) For a chronological deep dive, I'd start with Hellevator > District 9 > Miroh > Levanter > God's Menu, and beyond... As for the members... they are all very versatile and depending on the song they can all rap, sing, and dance, but they do have their primary roles within the team. I tried to reference lines and looks from Chk Chk Boom for you to help identify them if it's helpful AT ALL... *Changbin* (aggressive tone, he's "sick of this life, it's regular") and *Han* (lighter rap tone, opens Chk Chk Boom) are the main rappers, then *Hyunjin* (long hair, red sunglasses) and *Felix* (elf-like long blonde/silver hair, deep voice) are lead rappers. *Seungmin* (weird musician take- he sounds like a guitar, has the "pop pop pop" line) and *I.N* (ginger hair, sweet bright tenor voice) are the main vocalists, but Han also contributes to singing. *Bang Chan* and *Lee Know* are the most "in between" and will rap or sing interchangeably, but I would say you're more likely to see them singing than rapping. Bang Chan is the one who does that lazy rap "hit you like a truck" and Lee Know is the one in green. The dance line is less obvious in what you've watched but Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. :) They also write and produce their own music! There's a producing unit within the members called *3Racha* comprised of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han. I usually leave these long biographical posts to other fans, but I haven't seen one on your reactions yet and didn't want you to be left hanging!

They debuted in 2018. But before that, the guys were trainees in a music company. Leader Bang Chan (2:46) became a trainee at 13 and was allowed to form his own group only at 20. At that time, the youngest member was 16 years old. They were hated for the music they composed and the guys had to go through a lot. But they withstood all the trials and remained true to themselves, each other, their music, their dreams and their fans.

They can all rap and all sing yes lol they divide lines by who fits it best. They rode the hellevator up from Hell and got out at Haven (very brief at the top of the elevator at the end)which is also a beautiful song they wrote about fans saying that we’re their haven. They’ve gone through a lot, Chan especially who says all the time that the other Stray Kids members and Stay saved him

Stray kids have done literally 50 or so genres in their music through the past 7 years lol. 3racha are extremely creative guys who love lots of different forms of music so they’ll really never run out of new things to make. They even made their own genre

Loved this reaction! Subbing to watch your stray kids journey❤. It really touched me to hear you want to know about them. Please know that they have created so much non-music content (dating all the way back to their debut) that even a brand new/baby STAY can eventually catch up and feel like family😂. Their road has been long and difficult, but it has made them one of the strongest, most amazing groups of people i have ever had the privilege to discover. There are hours and hours of behind-the-scenes, reality-like skz codes, interviews, practices, fan meetings, performances, lives, etc. That document it all. They have always shared a great deal with us, and you can find links to most of it on their KZbin page. You can even watch the survival show that was used to make them prove they were ready to debut❤.

An interesting musical tidbit about Stray Kids (the song), Hellevator was the very first song they released together, and 7 years later, they revisit it in this song… and the chords are a variation of the chords used in Hellevator. Check it out!

They were formed through a reality survival show that had them threatened with elimination each week and actually Felix and Lee Know were and some people thought it was purely a ratings grab because they eventually were brought back due to public demand but it completely messed with their heads because they were only teenagers at the time. Also BangChan left his family in Australia at 13 or 14 to live in a dorm for seven years training as well as Felix as a teenager and had to practically learn Korean from scratch. Heleveter was the first song they wrote so it’s heavily referenced in this song about their struggles and experiences both good and bad to where they are today as the first in history to have 5 consecutive Albums to debut at no 1 on the Billboard 200

I've looked into what they do to become a kpop idol... They leave their homes and families to move into a dorm with three other members they train and audition to make the group.. once they get chosen then they really train for insane amount of hours plus school. some have undergone plastic surgeries.. they sign contracts that forbid them from dating for years plus other things... I would call that hell

Everyone can sing, dance & rap... This music video has so many call backs to previous music videos since their debut.. Hellevator is their pre-debut song which basically is they went through hell to debut and get where they are today completely on their own.. The songs are 99% made by them. Actually if you notice the floor they get off of is just above the Hell button with just a simple H(Haven)

Hellevator was their pre-debut. The floor they got out on was "h". The readout above their heads read "Haven". The young them were blended in throughout the video, and clips and locations were of their founding videos.

My boyyyyssss!!!🥹 this song (yes, its titled “Stray Kids”) its pretty much a love letter for the fans who’ve seen them grow from the beginning, and also for themselves showing their journey to get to where they are & that they will never stop, as referenced by the lyric “there aint no last STEP OUT” which is their introduction (“STEP OUT! Hello, we are Stray Kids!”). There are so many references to their older mvs & even clips from them, particularly their debut song “Hellevator”. Once you get more into them & see & learn more, this video will make more sense. I HIGHLY suggest watching & reacting to The Complete 2024 Guide to Stray Kids video by Chandara’s World. It will give such good insight to who they are & what they do(& make you fall in love with each of them because their personalities are so chaotic, wholesome, & lovable😂). Songs to check out for sure are God’s Menu, S-Class (which they won a 2023 VMA for), Megaverse, Super Bowl, Maniac, Venom, Backdoor, Thunderous, Easy, Any, & Blueprint because its my fav MV of theirs lol. Sooo excited to go on this journey with you!🤗

Oh boy. I hope you actually read the comments. LOL. Stays will let you know just how special this song is to the group and the fans (Stays)!! It is a testament to the journey they have been on and how they feel about their own group. I'm sure someone has mentioned it but when you do go back and watch some of their beginning MVs, you will see a 9th member. He left abruptly and unexpectedly in 2019 and ever since then they and we have always said EIGHT IS FATE. Those MVs are still so awesome to watch but we just tend to ignore the other person.
