You were drowning out the video and then you turned the video down AGAIN so we could, barely, hear it. Always use the 5-second Rewind and you totally misunderstood those opening words as that Manager was saying "Football is MORE important than Life and Death"..but you stopped at "I don't like this attitude" and assumed he was saying it is not so important.:)Good Luck.

i think its just what type of play u like, im a barca fan but like ronaldo more becaus of the power, free kicks and so on. and i think the guys who like messi is becaus he is so quick quick with it. i think its just what u like :D

@@Samlar23 that's definitely a part of it but at the same time I genuinely think Messi is a more efficient overall player than Ronaldo (or anyone for that matter) and contributes more to a game on average

@@benjaminbronnimann3966 yeah but at the same time, ronaldo has carried a lot of teams just by him playing on it. he plays midfield and can doo everything. i feel messi is just the best dribbler and finisher. but ronaldo can do everything, and has had more problems his way. i love messi but as a barca fan i can see they play the team around messi, and on ronaldos team he actually needs to lift the team up. but ey i get ur argument.

@@Samlar23 Ronaldo's a more complete striker but Messi's the more complete player, for years he was almost constantly 1st place across the top 5 leagues in chances created, dribblings completed, assists and often also 1st in goals. He has more than twice as many touches per game as Ronaldo and is much more involved, he often helps the defense with build up play to get the ball to the midfield, he helps the midfield get the ball to the offense with short passes, dribblings or precise through balls and once he gets close to the box he's one of the most dangerous passers and shooters ever, Messi's assist record is out of this world, whereas Ronaldo created alot of chances when he was younger but he never created nearly as many as Messi and in the latter half of his career he played as a classic 9, while he was still just as deadly of a scorer he was much less involved and had less touches in the game, which meant his performance sometimes suffered when his team didn't play well and he would completely disappear for an entire game sometimes, Messi could always create (not so much anymore now that he's old) even when his team wasn't playing well and even when he had a bad game he would still be productive and never completely disappear, that's why he was more consistent than Ronaldo while imo Ronaldo was more clutch (even though Messi was clutch aswell) and that's why Messi has over 400 man of the match performances while Ronaldo has like 180. And Ronaldo only played a few seasons as a "midfielder" but was already playing like a right winger back then and in the 06/07 season Sir Alex Ferguson literally changed his system from 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3 just so Ronaldo could play as a winger, if anything Messi is much better fitted to be a midfielder with his passing ability and he plays much deeper on the pitch, often taking on the role of a central midfielder. Ronaldo was always an effective scorer but Messi affects the game in alot more ways and still scored just as many goals at the same time. To me Ronaldo is the more impressive athlete but Messi is the more impressive footballer, Ronaldo is a machine, Messi is a genius.

The World Cup is every 4 years and in between there are smaller continental tournaments like in Europe we have the Euros and in South America there is the Copa America. So, there is a big international tournament every 2 years. But these are for countries where players get to represent their nation. In club football the highest level is the Champions League. It's a yearly competition between the best teams in Europe. Messi won the World Cup last year with Argentina (where he was born) but he plays for the french club PSG.

I don’t think it’s really possible to say who the greatest of all time is. The game is so different now than it was back in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. It would be better really to pick the best player from each generation and leave it at that.

This is consider the most controversial match of the 20th Century, were Maradona scored the most famous goals he passes through 5-6 players (including the Goalkeeper) to scored, and the most infamous goals with his hand 7:37 in the same match against England in the 1986 World Cup Quater-Finals (the World Cup that put Maradona in the GOAT debate cuz his insane one man army perfomance to lift the World Cup trophy). Too bad Maradona died 3 years ago so he wouldn't have witness Argentina and Messi lift the World Cup in 2022.

I get your confusion about the world cup. In US sport, you call the final of your leagues "the world series", "the world championship"... but in football there is a distinction between international and professional football. International means national teams, and the best players from each country play in it *when they are called upon* if they have a tournament like the world cup. Most of the time they play in professional football clubs, like Manchester United or Barcelona. Hope this helps

World cups are played between national teams, like the US Olympic team in basketball for example, all the best players from 1 nation on 1 team. So for example LeBrons national team is the US but the Lakers are the franchise he plays for, the same way Messi for example is in the Argentinian national team but PSG (Paris) is the Club he plays for. There's tournaments between national teams like the world cup every 4 years or inbetween world cups every continent also has it's own cup every 4 years, those tournaments are held in the summer so they don't interfere with Club seasons. Depending on the league/tournaments you play in a typical worldclass footballer will have around 40-60 games per season with his club and around 5-10 games per season with his national team. It's always important to differentiate between international football (with national teams) and club football, alot of americans seem to get this confused but it's basically the same as in basketball, the only difference is that football is a much more global sport so naturally there's a bigger emphasis on international football compared to basketball where the Olympics are the only time when people somewhat care about international basketball. The Best player ever, is relative. Players have to be in the right team, right period, and right league. Furter, the best, it can be winning trophies, or having absolute skill anytime anywhere. The game changed a lot. From very heavy leather balls, to light leather, to the plastic balls from today. From no substitutes to 5 currently, diet, training, medical science... I have seen Romario and The Ronaldo weekly for years, big European teams came to our city. For me, "The Best" is Ronaldinho. If that guy wouldn't enjoy parties as much as football, he'd be in the top lists. That control, humiliating the biggest players of his time, went back for second's. Beach, indoor, tennis ball and orange, he could do all.
