Explodierer is just poorly translated "boomer". In a lot of german memes words are used, that are just english words, which get poorly translated into german on purpose. People who understand german and English will know which English word that was supposed to mean, but machine translation can't handle it, so the translations don't make sense.

9:26 Peter Lustig once said in an interview with a local newspaper that he doesn't work with children in his TV show because he thinks acting is asking too much of a child. Kids don't understand why they have to retake a scene multiple times and it can mess with their self esteem. The BILD newspaper cited from this article but made it look like he didn't want kids on his set because he hated them. Sadly many people still believe this lie. Peter Lustig openly criticised the BILD before and this was their way of getting revenge.

@@vomm We know. The Bild hated Peter Lustig cause he once said "We humans have such a great power of our mind and we use it to read Bild. Bild used an interview to tell their readers Peter hates kids but it was never true. Great summary 👍 For anyone interested in more details, look up Kai Biermann (he is the interviewer). In an article from Feb. 2016 on Zeit Online, he explained how it happened. There's also a great video by KZbinr Topfvollgold called "Peter Lustig war KEIN Kinderhasser", who contacted and interviewed Kai Biermann.

@@vomm so the original transcript of the interview still exist. The interviewer (Kai Biermann) is still alive and confirmed that the transcript is correct and how the BILD just made it up. BILD was proven made up stories hundreds of times (BILD Blog). Even BILD try to turn it into upps just a misunderstanding in an article about the death of Peter Lustig. Several newspaper have done investigations and reported about it. showing their findings and their fact checks, but you still think no one really knows what the truth is. So lets put it in your logic: No one really knows if @vomm isn't just a troll bot account from Springer press( and that is just the positive and freindly conclusion how that could have happened).

7:00 Historically, extreme floods in Germany only occurred about once per century. That's why they were called "flood of the century". Because of climate change, they now happen every few years. The name doesn't actually make sense anymore
@dnocturn84
@dnocturn84 5 ай бұрын
That's BS. Floods occured many times throughout history. You can only call one of them "Jahrhunderthochwasser" after a century has actually passed, in order to actually know which of them was the worst. During those times, people also called every new big flood "Jahrhunderthochwasser", because the century didn't pass yet. Exactly like today. The number of floods did not increase. We used to have big floods ever 2 years in the last 200 years.
@itsmebatman
@itsmebatman 5 ай бұрын
@@dnocturn84 Actually it is about the chance of them happening. If a certain flooding has a chance of 1% according to weather gurus they call it a flood of a century. Nobody cares how long since the last one. The name is only confusing everyone. Also the weather scientists may have to reevaluate their models, because apparently these 1% chances are no longer 1%ers.

6:43 "Hochwasser" or "High water" as your app translated it, actually means a flood. Some 20 years ago Germany had a catastrophic flood that was called "Jahrhunderthochwasser" or "Flood of the century", a title that is given to a flood so severe (and rare) that they only occur once in a century. Sadly we've had multiple floods of similar scope since then, due to climate change. So, several "Floods of the century" in less than a century.

October 1, 2004 | Further training · Certified training Body dysmorphic disorder Epidemiology, clinical symptoms, classification and differential therapy indication-an overview Written by: Dr. med. Georg Driesch, Markus Burgmer, Gereon Heuft Published in: Der Nervenarzt | Issue 9/2004 Summary Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) or dysmorphophobia is a relatively common disorder, clinically characterized by an excessive preoccupation with an imagined defect or a feared disfigurement of one's external appearance. The excessive preoccupation often causes a great deal of suffering and impairments in social, professional or other important functions. Overvalued ideas and obsession with observation are other typical symptoms. BDD has a long historical tradition in European psychiatry. It was included in the international classification systems in 1987 with the DSM-III-R. BDD has been classified nosologically as both obsessive-compulsive disorder and hypochondriacal disorder. Due to the distorted body perception, there are connections to zoenesthesia in the context of schizophrenic psychosis, eating disorders and transsexuality. In the last 10 years, an increasing number of scientific studies have been carried out on BDD. This review summarizes the current state of knowledge on BDD based on the relevant scientific literature. The indications for therapy are critically examined.

1. In our country it is called Knäppchen, but there are many names for the end piece in Germany and depending on where you come from it has a different name. 2. These are (in the blue jacket) Markus Söder, the Prime Minister of Bavaria (Party: Christian Social Union) and Robert Habeck, Federal Minister of Economics and Vice Chancellor (Party: The Greens). They are currently having a press conference about the floods in Bavaria. Markus Söder is also somewhat criticized because he prevented the expansion of renewable energies and is now confronted with the consequences of climate change, so to speak. 3. Predro Pedro feels like he's in every other Tik Tok and KZbin short right now 4. Olaf Scholz, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. When he was the first mayor of Hamburg (as a city state he was basically the prime minister, but in Hamburg that's called first mayor) he had a connection to the cum ex transactions of a Hamburg private bank. In the corresponding investigative committee he stated that he could not remember it (which was possibly a protective claim). Since then, his “forgetfulness” has been a flaw on him. And no, we don't have a prime minister in the federal government. We have the President, who has a representative role and acts as the state's notary, and the Chancellor, who runs government affairs. The federal states have prime ministers as heads of government. 5. Yes 6. Is a map of the Holy Roman Empire and is only an allusion to number 1 and does not represent the correct name for the end piece of bread. 7. Doctors in a hospital are employed there. There are also other employed doctors, but many are also self-employed. 8. Yes 9. the “Stolzmonat” is an anti "pride month" movement by the ultra-right and similar people. 10. Yes 11. The current flood in southern Germany is called the flood of the century. This is actually a hydrological term for a flood event that, from a static point of view, only occurs every 100 years (on a body of water). But we have already had several floods in this century. 12. This is a mistranslation of Boomer. The problem is that the creators of many of these memes don't speak German at all but have them translated poorly. 13. Yes 14. This happens sometimes 15. Peter Lustig didn't hate children. This is something that was attributed to him. 16. Yes 17. I don't really understand 18. "Maggi Würze" is an ingredient that you need to make bland food a little more tasty. You don't use it for every meal, but you can use it to season soups in particular 19. Yes 20. Yes 21. A popular comma error: Comma after “With kind regards” But the comma after the greeting is incorrect. Unlike in American, there is no comma after the greeting in German, even if in spoken language there is a pause in speech after the greeting. 22. "Döp" is sung as part of the "text" of the song L'amour Tojour by Gigi D'Agostino. There was recently an incident on Sylt where young (rich) people sang xenophobic slogans Stat "Döp". This went through all the media and that's why the melody caught on with many people 23. Yes 24. Yes 25. Yes 26. Maybe I‘m wrong but I think the meme at 13:10 was about a very catchy party song that was sung by a group of German tourists on the German island Sylt (which is known to be mostly visited by wealthy/rich and therefore often conservative and even far-right Germans) to xenophobic lyrics. But because the song is very catchy and well known and now the media talks a lot about the people on Sylt singing it, almost nobody can get the song out of their head. So the person in the meme accidentally sings the song in their head and tries to stop themselves by taking out their brain.

"Seiten auf 5, Mitte auf Erinnerungsvermögen" is referring to him telling his barber to "cut the sides of his hair to 5mm and shave the center all the way down to his memory" Because it is a very common tactic to suddenly remember nothing about any scandals when talking to the press or a judge.

Seiten not mean pagfes here. It means side. Its about hair cut. you say "I want 5cm on side and 10cm on top". So this meme is about his haircut, he has 5mm on side and middle bold

The actual meme is that the bald middle part is seen as a representative of his ability to remember things in the past: no hair = no memory. Sides at least at 5 mm.

About the meme about Scholz shown from 1:28 to about 2:40 : "Seiten auf 5, Mitte auf Gedächtnisvermögen" refers to his haircut - 5 mm long at the sides and in the middle being "bald" = 0 mm long equal to his memory (as in "ability to remember things") Reason for that is that there have been some legal cases about the cum-ex-scandal in the past where he is known to be involved but when questioned about them he "forgot" everything / cannot remember anything. P.S.: The Cum-Ex-Scandal was a flaw in laws regarding certain deals with shares. The issue was something about tax returns on taxes paid for shares that resulted in several people / legal entities gaining the right to demand a tax return/refund of money on the same shares and as such multiple payouts for taxes that were only paid once. Several banks were involved in that and Olaf Scholz was also somehow involved in some way. When the scandal was public and the politicians were supposed to work on straigthening things out while holding the banks responsible, it seems that there were some suspicious actions and decisions made to the benefit of some banks. And he was one of those politicians involved.

Peter Lustig was the moderator of a children's TV show about science in their environment. Children appeared as guests sometimes, something like every 5 episodes. One day, a news reporter wanted to interview him, he accepted, and it got published truthfully; no one was interested in the article, except (foreshadowing) "Die Bild" journalists. From the interview, the passage "I don't like to have children on the filming set, since they cause repeating the scene an unnecessary amount of times" was changed to "I hate kids". It took 1 week for him to get taken off-air, 1 month to lose his job, and 2 years for an apology on the original defaming article, that no one reads since most only read the paper. He was featured in his descendant's show, when he was still alive. On his day of death, "Die Bild" published a side note of people that were that day's unluckiest people, featuring his face. 5 years later, they published an article where they made one of their lies as the cause of his demise, making themselves the heroes for finding that after all that time passed.

He doesn't have actual political power.

Just to clarify: Peter Lustig did not hate children. The rumor that he does came from an interview, in which he said, that he didn't like filming his show with child actors, because of ethical (child labour) concerns. In that same interview he also criticised the 'Bild Zeitung' a huge German 'news paper', which is famous for it's big controversial drama headlines and non existing ethics (for example they regularly show fotos and drop Names of victims of something just to drive a political agenda or to cash in with no concern at all how their kind of 'news coverage' impacts those victims lives. It even happened that they turned on those people if they publically try to defend themselves from that. Also truth is not really relevant for them.) So some days after this interview the Bild Zeitung started a campain of dramatic Articles using out of context quotes from this interview to frame him as a child hater. And since sadly many people read the Bild and those who do, often do it uncritically, this nasty and untrue rumor over time started to stick with the public opinion... The journalist who did the interview didn't expect these consequences and apologized to Peter Lustig and actually makes an effort to rectify but he does not have the same influence as Germany's biggest news paper (I hate to call the Bild a news paper), the damage is done, and since Peter is dead now irreparably so...

Germany has a chancellor, who is in charge, and a president, who is the nominal head of state but isn't technically part of the government and doesn't really have any political power. We don't have a prime minister, but we do have 16 minister presidents, which are basically like the state governors in the US, one for each Bundesland.

0:57 the one on the left, with the empty gaze, is Markus "Maggus" Söder from the Christian Social Union (CSU) in Bavaria. He's also Minister President of Bavaria. He likes to cosplay as Mr. Spock, but in reality he's an arrogant, treacherous, deceitful, scheming Romulan. Many people in Bavaria recently suffered from his parties fails (the CSU rules Bavaria uninterrupted since 1957). As soon as it all went to shit during the recent floods, he and his cronies immediatelly tried to shift the blame. He and his vice MP Hubert "Hubsi" Aiwanger of the "Free Voters" party are real pieces of work. The CSU is only present in Bavaria, while the Christ Democratic Union (CDU) is present in all other states. On federal level, the CSU wouldn't get over the 5% threshold to enter the Bundestag. They are only there, because they win direct mandates and team up with the CDU. Despite all that, our dear "Maggus", first of his name, defender of the christian faith, lover of beer, abjurer of Bubatz and clean energy, saviour of the Bavarian people, as well as the whole of humanity thinks, the sun is shining out of his Patrick. The one on the right is Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck suppressing the urge to drill him a massive new one.
