It's great to see you cover Praga, they are a true Czech legacy company and it's amazing that they are making cars like this considering that they were not making road cars at all from 1948 to 2011. It took several years after the fall of Communism, and some ownership and management changes to get the Praga name back to form. The company got screwed over somewhat after the Communist coup of 1948; prior to that, they were into trucks, cars, engines, motorcycles and even aircraft. The Communist government took everything but trucks and engines away from Praga, so they were quite limited in what they could do in that era. Their signature product for that period was the V3S truck, a legend in it's own right and quite worth looking at. They made some truly beautiful road cars in the 1920s and 1930s that you should also look at. On a completely different tangent where Czech cars are concerned, you should also look at the Velorex three wheeler sometime.

@@SomKing123 To auto také není stavěné na rychlostní rekordy na rovině, které jsou v praxi naprosto k ničemu, pokud nejedete na německou dálnici. Praga je vyvinutá na rychlost v zatáčkách, resp. na závodění na dráze, aniž byste s ní museli dorazit na vleku s tahačem. Tím, že má homologaci na sinici si na tu dráhu dojedete pohodlně z domu. Takové auto nemá obdoby. Maximálka na nikoho nezajímá, to je jen o pseudo číslo, toto je seriózní závodní auto s minimální hmotností a super přítlakem.

By the way, Praga wanted an engine from the Audi r8 V10. But unfortunately, Audy probably didn't guarantee the same conditions as Nissan. So there's the upgraded engine from the Nissan GT-R.

It seems you have never heard about the Rimac (NO, not "Raimek" or something but "Ree-matz") which is a Croatian hyper car manufacturer. Their electric drive is so advanced that the Land Rover bought it and build it in their cars.

False, they bought rimac to pass esg checks, they can still sell large petrol engines and not be taxes to oblivion thanks to rimac being under them. Same stuff was done by Bugatti and Porsche. They bought electric car manufactures to pass ESG.

Josef král also took part in the development of this car, a racer who drove GP2, raced in several different formula series, had a signed contract with HRT, tested f1 vehicles and is still racing, so it's no wonder that the car looks a lot like an f1 car

You should check the reveal video made by Ben Collins aka the former Stig on Top Gear he kinda codeveloped the car as I recall correctly and is tied with Praga brand he raced the British Praga championship in the Praga R1 track car specials which you should check as well they even let youtubers drive like my beloved Jimmy Broadbent :D Also Praga used to make our most famous local truck the Praga V3S but the brand suffered under communism as many others did.

I was at a local car show to me here in the UK, its also a concourse event, Praga had this there and Ben Collins the Stig too, as he was a test driver for them. So got to have a great look at the car and a quick chat with The Stig.

Regarding the height difference, it may not be apparent from the front view but it's also partly due to perspective as the passenger seat is positioned farther back with the shoulders behind the driver seat to fit even tighter.

From what I know is that czech driver Josef Král was testing it and tunning it with the Praga company. He is former F2 driver now driving some endurance races for Scuderia ferrari. Also he is commenting our F1 races. Also the track was Hockenheimring in Germany.

The Bohema is pure ICE, which is how they kept the weight down. No heavy batteries and electric motor/generators for a hybrid system. Could well be the last ICE hypercar ever. The test driver sitting next to Jodie Kidd is probably on the slight side, as many successful racers are, and she's famously 6ft+ - but the passenger seat being set back a bit from the driver's and the wide-angle lens exaggerating the perspective is how they got the Frodo next to Gandalf look. I had the advantage of having seen some of Jimmy Broadbent's YT vids on racing the Praga R1, so I knew immediately what the Bohema was when I saw it: a street legal version of their race car. Jimmy's vids are well worth checking out, btw. Extraordinary sim racer to IRL racing champion story.

There’s quite a few amazing cars coming from the Czech Republic, and Praga themselves are known for racing cars. I think Ben Collins was also involved with the development of this car and I think he also race their race cars, not 100% sure though

Don't underestimate the knowledge and skills in Czechia ( and other countries in the former east European/ sovjet part), the Skoda holding seemed to be the only company who were capable to make 10 meter diameter ballhinges for the "Maeslantkering" in Rotterdam.

The license plate on the Praga Bohema is the license plate for vehicle testing. So it has some exception to be street legal. It seem's to be a pre-production car, but the legalization is (hopefully) in the process.

I got excited by the word Hypercar ... The top division in the WEC for the past few years is called Hypercar. It used to be LMP1 but that got changed and a load of teams and manufacturers have joined the Hypercar class whereas the old championship was dominated by Toyota with little competition. The Hypercars aren't as fast as old LMP1's were but I think there's 19 cars entered in this years championship, including Ferrari and Porsche and 1 or 2 American teams too. The WEC give away all their stuff for free on youtube, similar to the machines you'd see in IMSA if that's your thing. Jodie Kidd is 6'2, taller than most drivers!

Actually there was one more Praga before Bohema. I think it was called R1 or something. So Bohema is like a 2nd gen. And there are racing series where Praga races. I think youtuber Jimmy Broadbent races it.

At first I thought this was the electric hyper car that beat the Plead (=Plad?) Tesla, which is also from a not so common car industry country. But yeah! I think ... as in my opinion ... that many of the supercars are in fact made over the same principle as fasion bags....whatever they're called. Dolce something.. So I am actually not surprised that a small manufacturer is able to think outside the well known box and, like you mention, focus hard on the down force and suddenly disrupt the reputation we thought we knew!

but praga is not quite Czech praga r1 is a completely Slovak product under the name praga, which was produced and developed in Slovakia, praga is de facto just a brand, as the first sports car was the attack k1, which had nothing to do with the brand praga only after the purchase of the praga brand and the merger was the praga r1 car developed,completely accurate inso it could at most be described as Czechoslovak formation is not available and it's a rather complicated story, but roughly it goes like this, greetings from Slovakia

I wouldn't really call it hypercar. Usually hypercars have around 1000hp or more. By this definition Lamborghini Revuelto (sucessor to Aventador) would also classify as hypercar because combines it has 1001 hp, but it will be "mass produced". For reference there was 11,465 produced Aventadors. That includes LP700-4 and Roadster, SV, SV Roadster, S, S Roadster, SVJ, SVJ Roadster and LP 780-4 Ultimae. And I'm fairly certain that Revuelto will have just as many model and numbers produced. The Holy trinity, Porsche 918, LaFerrari, McLaren P1 combined had 1792 cars produced LaFerrari = 499 cars 918 = 918 cars P1 = 375 cars First Holy trinity consisted of Ferrari Enzo, Mercedes-McLaren 722 and Porsche Carrera GT Bohema will most likely be limited time production road legal track car

Dunno about Praga? Dude, you gotta learn about Jimmy Broadbent and his coop with them in the Praga cup, and Britcar. It also inspired someone in the USA to start selling the Praga race cars there. [EDIT] BTW: i'm not sure how much into bikes you are, but you could try and learn about the history of motorcycle manufacturing in Czechoslovakia. Brands like Jawa, Laurin&Klement, Ogar, CZ,... They were interesting, beautiful, successful (in sales and in motorsport). Jawa is still going, mainly thanks to Asian market.
