What did you do with the back after taking off the fillets? Best tasting part of a sad! Dredge in a mix of flour and cornmeal salt pepper and garlic powder then pan fry till golden brown.

Next time you catch those small shad throw them on a 2 ot hook and catch a monster striped bass.

This is why I bring an extra rod with a big hook on it so I can throw the live Shad back out for a big ole striper!

@@outdoorsanimalsandmusic3014 last year I was fishing for shad and saw one of the biggest stripers I have ever seen hanging out where I was fishing. People were throwing lures at it for days but it was just hunting live shad.

@@gs6810 I fish a Cliff area and one mrng I was reeling up a big Shad. The biggest striper I ever saw came up like a submarine and started biting the Shad. Of course I didn’t have an extra rod so I wasn’t able to try to catch it and ever since then I bring an extra rod
