American Sitcom Legend Kelsey Grammer Reveals All On ‘Frasier’ Reboot | This Morning

It might have been ‘Goodnight Seattle’ but it’ll soon be ‘Hello Boston’, as fresh from the set of the ‘Frasier’ reboot, award-winning actor Kelsey Grammer is here to tell us about the ‘divine intervention’ that got him involved with his latest film Jesus Revolution. We’ll find out what motivated him to bring one of US television’s longest running characters back to life, as Dr Frasier Crane heads back to the city where ‘Cheers’ gave him his first outing, and which takeaway cuisine has got him setting up shop in the West Country.

I saw a taping of the new Frasier reboot a few weeks back, in Los Angeles. He's right - Nicholas Lyndhurst is FANTASTIC in it. He and Kelsey play off each other so well. Fans will love the reboot.

I’ve been worried that they’ll make a hash of it, I love Niles & Martin so much that I didn’t think it would be as good and maybe it won’t quite be, but if it’s got 60% of the old magic it will be decent, and Frasier is a wonderful character in his own right. I know Tim Allen’s wife and in 2006 I was fortunate enough to be at Tim’s Christmas party and I met Kelsey, he was with his ex wife Camille. I talked to the two of them for 15 minutes. Finally Kelsey said- “I only know Jane and Tim” I then went around and introduced them to the people I knew. Including Michael Dorn. The greatest night of my life. Super great guy!

I met Kelsey in downtown Dallas when he hosted a celebrity hockey tournament. He was so gracious and such a gentleman! I do believe I got was the only person to recognize him, as he was surrounded by his handlers. I had such a nice evening! He graciously offered an invitation for myself and my 2 son's, Brandon and Dustin Flynn, and my mom, Mary Bullok, to attend the tournament, which I accepted tout suite (no guarantee on my spelling). My mom took pics, and when she took them to get developed, had 2 prints made:. 1 for her, and 1 for me. Unfortunately, after her death, I was in a manic state and I ended up losing all of the memorabilia. :(. Hopefully my brilliant son Dustin was able to save things after I sold my 🏠 in McKinney Texas. . . . They're calling again . . . Goodnight Seattle!!!!!!!!

It's sad to think Kelsey wonders if he's done anything that matters. Frasier has helped me so many times get through periods of anxiety or depression. Just having a comforting, funny, warm show to distract the brain from problems and worries. I don't think there's ever been a sitcom that was better written than Frasier. Only Always Sunny comes close to how brilliant this show is. I hope the reboot doesn't spoil the show, it's so hard to catch lightning in a bottle twice.

I like the reboot mainly because it’s fresh. Some criticize the reboot series because they wanted the continuation of the prior series. Kelsey Grammar is brilliant. He has assembled a new cast yet is trying to get previous characters. Personally, television series tent to get stale. Grant Tinker had the best philosophy regarding television shows, he ended the Mary Tyler Moore show at seven.

Seems Frasier's new flatmate will be David, aka Niles and Daphne's son. Soon after his Granddad Martin's death, he travels across country with his uncle. Idk why but im 42 yrs old and i honestly CRINGED this show. This was on back in the time when i was not even a teenager. Im literally JUST started watching the 1st Frasier, i mean REALLY watching after hearing about the reboot.... Ive never heard Kelsey soeak without his Frasier accent. But i really, really am enjoying JUST watching Frasier and getting it... i just started to GET it. ❤❤❤❤
