it's funny though that in reality the pershing was a mess, with many production delays, and unfit for combat. only a few arrived at the battle of buldge and when the first finally appeared in the netherlands, they did a bad job. but it has nice stats and fits well in a game

It will bounce a Tiger 1 all day unless you hit the mg port, and with the current MM always uptiering 5.7 that's mostly what it faces. Meanwhile the T26E1 can shoot the Tiger virtually anywhere and 1 hit it. I'm never as lucky as the guys Phly shot at, I actually get penned all the time where he shot that one in manlet. Ugh.

phly the spaced armour on the conqueror is surprisingly very helpful and makes quite a big difference against heat as it cant be penned by most conventional shells

As far as I know, the cylinders on top are for the gun recoil, not the to hold it up, as the turret was fitted with counter weights on the back to balance out the extra weight on the front with the spaced armor, which is the block on the back.

hey Phly, little german tank expertise from ww2. Wehrmacht stated that the transmission should be at the front of the tank, earlier battles in smaller tanks showed, that the crew, aspiecially the driver, is saver behind that thick box. So if! a shot ( and remember effective ranges and callibers of allied tanks at beginning of ww2) penned the lower plate of tiger in "Mahlzeitstellung" ( angled at 45 degrees to a target, so tiger could engage 2 enemies if needed, with highest possible protection), chances were high, the round got stuck in the transmission. The tank can't move and needs to be abandoned, but crew should be protected for the most times. ... in theory right, but later on irrelevant because of amount of enemy tanks and tactis they used (outmaneuvre the kitties).

The Super Conqueror package allows it to stop HEAT shells, which makes the turret extremely well protected at its BR since Kinetic has problems with the slopes on the turret anyways.

During testing of the T26E-1 they shot a tungsten core shell at a jagpanzer 4, the round went straight through the front armor, through the engine block, and then buried itself in the dirt mound behind the jagpanzer soo far that they couldn’t recover the shell

You should read up on it, the lower frontal armour is just a blast furnace welded on, and all the rest is just panther armour, it was the only one of its kind, the story is amazing.

The add on armour on the back of the turret was meant to be a counterweight for the armour on the front, explaining it's weird pattern.

New game mode idea entrenchment team A is stuck in an urban area surrounded by rural areas where team B is. Team B gets unlimited respawns and team a gets limited spawns in order to prevent camping if the capturing team has 3 tanks for every 1 defending tank inside the town the defenders will automatically be forced to surrender or have a timer and when the timer runs out the game ends the teams would play two games who ever holds the city/objective in said city the longest wins this game would be mixed with airforce ground and sea as the game could be played in a port town or have a river going through a city and the boats could gain positions where there team could respawn instead allowing the tanks to get back into battle faster. What you've described is basically the vs AI wave defence mode, except instead of AI taking the role of the cannon fodder, it's a team of live players. Spoiler alert; no-one wants to be dunked on by a team given a clear advantage by the map, even if you promise them *they* can do the dunking when the round is over and the sides switch. If you have to give one side infinite respawns to compensate for /that/ big of an advantage, you need to rethink the design because that's a pretty huge crutch. Too many people dream up these game mode ideas in games where it's one side given a huge advantage, and the other side just gets numbers/respawns. That's only fun for one team.

When your shell bounced of that slopped front plate and ricocheted up into that flat plate, the shell was now hitting it at an angle, thereby increasing the plate thickness. Perhaps enough that the slowed down shell couldn't penetrate it.

the spaced armor is for RPG and lighter armor piercing munitions, in short: they penetrate the light armor but spread the energy out on a big area on the next layer thus become meaningless.

Phly, just a few bits of info for you concerning the "Super Pershing". This tank was actually built in field, and the details of the project can be found in the book "Death Traps: The Survival of an American Armored Division in World War II by Belton Cooper. Cooper was an ordnance officer with the 3rd Armored Division, and had a hand in the design of the tank. The big chunk of "armor" attached to the rear of the turret was needed as a counter-weight for the barrel putting pressure on the turret ring. Without it, they couldn't rotate the turret as it was too heavy in the front. The "ears" welded to the mantlet were likewise counterweights to allow the elevation system and springs to raise and lower the gun properly. I also believe they had to beef up the front suspension on the tank, but the details escape me at the moment as it's been a few years since I read the book.

I play this tank every day with my 6.3 lineup. Feels good especially because you can almost reliably one shot enemies with the APCBC. Enemies that you struggled a lot with before. The frontal spaced armor is not spaced but whatever, I use this tank to snipe. If it’s uptiered, like it usually happens, it suffers a lot from HEATFS, but it’s only a game of who can see and oneshot first. I don’t get why it costs as much as the regular M26...

I heard that the Super Pershing born from the field modification done by the crew. They just slaps some armor taken from some dead tank to make the tank even more armoured This thing could mess someones day up. Drove the super pershing at close range and spot a Tiger E and pretty much my presence just made him messed his shot.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought that the added suspension of the front of the turret and the suspension of the front of the tank being lower was due to all the added armor, not due to the gun. Hence why pre-added armor tanks didn’t need or have this modification or the lower front suspension. Anyway loved the vid keep it up!

Oh I’d also like to know what your view on adding in the E75 and maybe E50. Yes they are paper tanks but would be better than what we currently have for 7.0 and I have a few ideas for them.

First off we know the E75 would have mounted the 10.5cm l68 from the tiger II 10.5cm in game but with an enlarged tiger II turret to accommodate the 105mm and the extra 210mm thick front plate and 120mm thick sides. Also we know it would have used the same engine and drive train. Then the front is a little thicker but more angled (60 degrees if I read correctly) on both lower and upper to give the allied shells a bit more trouble.
