American Tries CRAZIEST Indian Street Food 🤯

I recently visited India for the first time, specifically Punjab (Amritsar), and the street food was hands down some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The first thing I wanted to try was fire paan so my friend Amit took me to get some.
One of my other favorite things about India was the little chai shops that are everywhere, and the chai itself, piping hot and fragrant because it’s made with unique combinations of fresh spices including ginger and cardamom, is much better than Starbucks!
Everything I ate in India was vegetarian and while meat is available I honestly really enjoyed the experience of being in a country where not eating animals is the default. It helps that Indians probably make the best vegetarian food in the world.

He must have ordered "chur - chur naan". It is topped with ghee and then crushed giving the stuffed and layered naan crispy exterior and soft interior and makes the layers more pronounced.

go easy on spicy food at start but also if u tell them u cant handle spicies they will suggest you a different non spicy dish altogether and you won't be able to try all the dishes and get real taste of indian food. Believe the spicy dishes are the most tastiest 🥵😋😋

I mean it was just so unexpected. Imagine the server walking up randomly, reaching over your food, grabbing your naan with their bare hands, crushing it up and then tossing it back on your plate. There are just so many cultural clashes happening since this hypothetical is in the US. I really enjoyed that he didn't react as he just assumed it was a cultural thing and just waited to see what would happen with an open mind. Big props to him for really ensuring he learns about their culture rather than reacting with his culture.

Its crazy to me how expensive grocery and food items here have become and how inexpensive things are in other countries. Didn't used to be that way. German groceries are so much cheaper than in the US and you in India the food is dirt cheap there. Street vendors are the best btw, if you ever get to Korea try the street vendors or cart food.

you can find kulfi at an indian store. Normal flavor is malai (milk) but you can find pistachio or mango as well

yeah it is my guy, ive travelled to India more times than i count at this point and honestly you aren't really seen as a number there, even the proper brick and mortar store owners won't bother even talking about money until you're done with your meal. Its quite the opposite of a new yorker if that puts things into context, highly recommend travelling there atleast once in your lifetime

Most restaurants in India will give you an invoice or a bill. You have to pay against it and tip if you can. If it is a street food shop, in some places you need to pay first.

Also, he's alone everywhere (maybe its cause I'm a woman I see that as a problem tho)
