AMERICAN TRIES VEGEMITE!!!

I finally tried Vegemite!! I also went to some new sports clubs on campus, had an exam, then booked a trip up to Queensland in November!!

When I was a boy my mum would make me for brekkie one piece of toast with butter, vegemite and a poached or fried egg on top. I still make this special brekky certain days of the week for myself and my children.

Vegemite is an acquired taste and it takes a while to get used to it but eat it in the morning at breakfast time (not at night) and as mentioned - warm toast with more butter and small amout of vegemite. After a while you will get to like it especially on fresh white toasted bread. I like 1x slice of vegemmite & 1 x slice of peanut butter or Jam or marmalade so you are not just eating vegemite alone. Another nice Aussie spread on toast that is not well known is "Lemon Curd" which you buy in Coles/Woollies/IGA etc in a small jar Make sure you apply sunblock on your shoulders/face etc when down the beach as we head into warmer weather to avoid sunburn

Laura when eating Vegemite, put heaps of butter on warm toast and a tiny amount of Vegemite. Just enough to cover the tip of your knife. Mmm delicious, We live in Sydney and love Lauren Daigle too. Love your blogs x
