You seriously chose the most inconvenient moment to visit Tunisia. It is best not to visit Tunisia around the Eids, Ramadan, or August because it will be extremely hot. However, I'm glad you had a good time!

The red sauce is Harissa (100% Tunisian) it is made of red pepper (the one you tried is the industrial one, the traditional is more delicious) this sauce has become also popluar in France. The white is mayo and you probably liked it because Tunisian usually add to it some garlic or other flavours. The green is Slata Mechweya (grilled salad) it is made of green pepper, tomatos, garlic, onion and other spices. You seem to have tried the industrial one and locals usually do not eat it (only in fast food) because they find it very different from the home made one (which is true)

Just finished watching the video, I hope you had a great time in our country, one of the worst things about Tunisia is how bureaucratic it is, you have to sign some papers before flying a drone as it is not allowed. We're sorry for that. Also when it comes to english communication, the younger generation are more into english than the older one, old people are more into french. In Tunisia we learn french and english in our educational system, we add to that a 4th optional language when we reach the 3rd grade of secondary school (by the age of 17 approximately), we choose a 4th optional language from these ones: German, spanish, italian The majority tend to learn german as their 4th language as it open opportunities for them to work later in Germany (a great economy with many work opportunities)

The other reason that the police probably wanted you drone might have been, in Carthage is the presidential palace, when I was there, looking at the Roman Bath house we were told not to point the camera or take photos of it and it was surrounded by armed guards, apparently it is illegal to take photos of government or military buildings

As a tunisian in LA we do celebrate it every year in san bernardino as I noticed in video the guy didn't want you to film just because of the media and some people always make trouble in the Aid (the holiday) mostly vegan and animal rights maybe they thought you work for them 😁 also drone are illegal to fly out there 😂

Random american in Africa: buildings, "oh interesting", people playing video games, "that's crazy", people speaking languages "that's really amazing you know"... come on, you go to a country on a holiday and then judge on what you see in the empty streets! Trust me, just try it again on any day of the year and you'll be blown away.. also, you can't know a country in 24h in the least animated day of the year! Fyi, Tunisia has a proper educational system and young people learn English at school along with Arabic and French! Final thing, about the Aid, yes your idea is correct, it has to do with the story abraham when he had to sacrifice his kid and god gave him a sheep to sacrifice so he could keep his child.. so every family sacrifices a sheep, and it's the only animal that we're ok with seeing it moving then dead then eaten, because it's part of the culture and you grow up on that day dealing with the whole sheep as a family activity/project, it's really fun and brings us together..

Medina is not a French word but actually arabic which means literally city and we call those old cities "mdina arbi" you find one in every single Tunisian town You arrived in the day of the eid edh.ha holiday where people celebrate Abraham and Isaac sacrifice by slaughtering sheeps and the huge family gathers kinda the Easter or Christmas for Christians and yes in that day every thing will be practically close ...didn't they invite you to celebrate with them and to eat some meat?? What a shame
