Actually the meat consumption in the US is much higher than in Germany (more than 50% higher according to the statistics I have seen). O.k. California might be different. In Germany we rarely eat meat for breakfast. Some German companies are quite successful with their vegan products like Rügenwalder just round the corner from where I live.

I work in a grocery store in Germany and I have to say that the shelves in America look a lot tidier than they do in Germany. Everything is lying in disarray on the shelf and it looks like a storm has raged there. Either people in America place more value on cleanliness in the store or the employees are very hard-working and clean up a lot.

This is old content but I agree with your ‘for what’ sentiment, because there was quite literally no point in masking if you were too ignorant to wear it over your mouth and nose.
