I’ve used proactive for my acne for about 4 months and it completely destroyed my skin. It burned and caused even more break out. And I didn’t use it everyday either. I used it every other day. now I use Korean toner, oil, and tea tree cream. I have moisturized and clear skin now. Definitely recommend my new regime, but if proactive works for you, DONT STOP USING IT! Our skin is different so if something works for me it might not work for you

Jade Warren Yes and I would recommend those with oily skin types to not follow the Korean skincare, especially the double cleansing method (tried it and broke out; the foam cleanser does not remove all traces of the oil...thats why your skin can still feel "soft" and "glowy" after cleansing)

Yes, but Korean toner is not the same as American toner. Not in the slightest. It's gentle, balances the skin, controls sebum, full of ingredients that prep the skin for essences/serums/moisturizer, and alcohol free. There's a legitimate benefit to using it. On the other hand, the typical American toner is full of harsh chemicals and alcohol.

Korean are very careful with ingredients. In korea they have this app where they can look up the product's ingredients. They are VERY careful for what they put on their face. Their toner has different ingredients then we do in america. That's why I personally use homemade skin treatment.

I'm a huge fan of the principles of Korean skincare. Living in a colder and dry climate I have dry skin that leans towards sensitive. I love that Korean skincare is gentle and focuses on hydration. A lot of products from North America are heavy on fragrance and chemicals that are irritating. Some of my favorite products are from Korean brands and it has changed my skin for the better!

Korean and Japanese skincare will get rid of your acne, just doing a little bit of research will tell you why and everything you need to know. American products are typically very harsh, and full of chemicals. It's all about the science of your skin; and Korean products work with your skin, aggressive treatment isn't always the best treatment. When I started my Korean/Japanese skincare routine, I pretty much got to say goodbye to my acne. There's no instant fix to acne. But dedication and keeping to the routine saved my skin. Gentle is where it's at. American products made everything worse

Common mistake among korean skincare enthusiast is PUTTING ALL STEPS in one go. This will shock your face. You are suppose to introduce one product at a time for a period of days to a week or two weeks and then adding another product. For the basics, a cleanser and moisturizer are all you need then sunscreen in the morning. Then, you can add an oil cleanser, toner, essence, serum, moisturizer, acids, facial oil. Also, it is NOT necessary to use all steps. Sometimes, less is more. A lot of Koreans don't necessarily follow 10 steps or 15 steps for example. Some Koreans go for the diet by using around 5 steps only. Some even just do the 7 skin method by layering the toner 7 times and then a moisturizer and done. It really depends on the needs of your skin.

+wimbletone waa thankyou so much for sharing 😀😍🙏 yeah and thats so true, i just check this after i do some steps that clear my combination skin (oily in T zone - acne prone sensitive in the rest area) like triple cleanser before face wash (using natural cleansing oil like *raspberry oil, apricot oil and etc i bought online in my country indonesia then aloe vera soothing gel 99% from the saem with method like spread on to face then take off using cotton with splash of water, then using witch hazel with tea tree toner and final is soap bar that contain blue algae, cholorophyl and etc.) -i do that day and night- after that i scrub my face with clay and greentea scrub, do masking with greentea and wheat powder product, -i only do this every night yeah about that scrub its look harsh to use everyday buy my white head gone and clean but thats all because the scrub is soft and use clay so dont need to rub so hard yeay 😀🙌😁, tone my face with that toner with witch hazel and tea tree oil, then for face oil i use rose hip oil with argan oil for fade acne scars and anti aging and moist flawless skin😍😍😍 and finally moisturize with aloe vera the saem 99% again.. -in morning i skip mask- My sunscreen that best for my skin is etude house mild airy finish with slghtly white cast and matte finish and i recently bought inisfree no sebum pact and yesterday i tried and got amazed because my face look so flawless and bright (not white cast, its look like ur skin tone but brighter 😍) and u are ready to go yass. One thing for sure is yeah true we have to fine the perfect product for our skin needs and fit with our skin type, before i do this i have several acne and bumps and rich of whitehead😂 and oiliness, i just try that step for one week to get clearer skin... And if you so tired and want to skip, *i do skip in that one week😁😂 just dont forget cleanser from face wash and aloe vera gel because thats the most product that truly give miracle to my flawless skin😍😍😀😉. Oh and dont forget to not look at mirror! Once you do then you think it hard it will cause acne, so my trick is look at another thing while in front of mirror and just enjoy doing it all because thats your hobby and you like it, and ur skin just need care so acne doesnt matter its just a beautiful decoration that makes ur face look cute 😍😘.. And my other trick is try to find something or do something that makes you happy and dont forget to smile everyeach time because it makes you feel better, the last is you have to love yourself first and dont ever compare to other because thats the answer why god making us different hhe thanks sis i hope u have a beautiful day😀🙏🙌💕😍

+wimbletone oh yeah i have been makeup free for maybe one year and my skin so thank because it looks so moist, soft like baby butt and younger 😍😀. I just want to reduce oiliness with that inisfree pact and because its only natural ingredient but i got bonus from what my skin respons like so flawless bright like i said 😀😀😍😍.. And all of that product i use has no chemical no one, maybe thats make ur skin even more happy hhe😀😀💕💕🙌 i hope you will find the perfect line of skincare that match ur type and cure ur skin problem.. 🙏😘

HI nice vid, i think both routines are good but sometimes i prefer the american routine as it has worked better for my skin than the times i've done i korean style rountine and a lot of korean products i have used have actually left with with chemical burns as the acid content in it was far too strong for me. that is what my GP explained to me. One thing i would like to ask , is this a day and night routine because you don't mention any use of sunscreen? Is it not included as skincare?

I think both have good points! I do like a good peel off mask once in a while. I do love the Korean/Japanese masks that come in the packages too. Always feel so soothing! Skincare is so personal, find what works for your skin. Example not everyone need to wash face every day or use toner etc. I never use toner myself, my skin is so sensitive. If I don’t wear makeup I don’t even always wash my face because my skin gets dried out and irritated. If I go outside I like to protect my skin with sunblock lotion tho always :).
