i personally hated the Klien 16-1, returned after one day of use. found the bit magnet kinda weak, hated there wasnt an open storage spot for pre installed bit, the flip socket slid very easily, then combine the magnet and flip socket making the perfect recipe to lose your installed bit. especially when trying to keep it in my toughbuilt pouch

the stubby ratchet screwdriver also takes the small pass through sockets to make it a stubby nut driver as well

Klein is making a lot of their stuff compatible which is great, but it can get a bit overwhelming. 8:42 I cringed when I opened mine & saw that proprietary bit, but it was designed like that because the shaft for it has no ball bearing in order to fit in the 1/4 ratchet. There's another model in the Klein 11 in 1 ratcheting screwdriver & the similar shaft has a ball in it & won't fit in the ratchets like this (5:37)

You outta do a comparison in performance and ergonomics between the knipex pliers wrench and cobras and the new kleins. I have the older styles of both and don't like them near as much as my knipex in both performance and ergonomics. Curious if these newer ones have stepped up their game. Looks like the pliers wrench design is better?

There’s a new set that’s brand new and no one has made any review or anything on it. It’s the Klein Tools Knect model # 65240 The low profile sockets is what I’m interested in

It’s been out for about a month now but you’re right, no one has reviewed it yet. I figure it’s because no one wants to pay 120 dollars for it
@mobsterbl17 сағат бұрын
@ I’ve just recently seen and heard about it. I usually try to look up reviews before deciding if it’s going to help my day to day. $120 is steep for some, but it might be worth it for others.

I love Klein's limited edition stuff. They work good, obviously, but man, do they look cool. I bought their Freedom Series Lineman's pliers.

Demo drivers is something I consider myself fairly well versed in, because it's one of my daily carry and most used tools at work they're just very handy so I've tried several of the very best ones I could find, and I have to say I think the current best one is the Milwaukee USA made MT208. They use some seriously tough steel that was noticeably better quality than others I've tried, having beat it up for the first week it had barely any marks. Now after many months of use it has finally just barely chipped some of the coating, but it's still in it's original shape. I highly highly recommend it. So seeing this new Klein I have to say, while the design seems nice and all... how tough or different is the actual steel used from their other drivers? And just as a comparison the top ones I've owned and compare it to is the Dewalt Acetate handle (love that thing it was my go to for years) and Wiha Germany made heavy duty with Microfinish (great materials just didn't like the handle end cap kind of hard to hit). Among all of those I like the new USA made Milwaukee I mentioned the best so far

The first screwdriver is good on paper until you use it, bit keep falling off, magnet just not strong enough

That’s why people should only review tools that they have actually used.

I’m not a fan. The 13-1 ratcheting driver is my favorite by far

I like the previous demo drivers...because I can use them as standard drivers. I don't want to carry a driver I can't comfortably use as a screwdriver.

That’s fair. I love the wera chisel driver that’s that size a lot

@@americanelectrician Well, the klein demo driver used to be normal sized. That's what I have now. Maybe they still offer that but are selling this as an alternative if you only intend to use for demo. I have an impact 11-in-1 and a klein demo flat in my pouch that does most of what I need. Kleins as a hammer, ofc. I wouldn't carry around this flared tool.

I know you are showcasing New Klein tools but to not even mention the industry leaders whose style pliers and flip sockets Klein is releasing their version of is doing a disservice to your audience. In futures videos maybe discuss what Klein has innovated vs the competition.

I think Klein just wants to expand its market share and lineup of tools to make more money. Hopefully, they can do it without lowering quality. Also, I think everyone’s making pliers wrenches and Cobra-style pliers now since patents have expired, especially since the style has grown in popularity within the American market in recent years.

@@andrews3137 Wera doesn't even come close to offering the variety of multi screwdrivers that Klein offers. Klein literally cranks out a new multi screwdriver like every other week.

Sorry Klien, I love your stuff! But you shifted your Pliers ( Knipex style ) to CHINA!!! 🤨 I’m only going to buy AMERICAN or GERMAN MADE PLIERS!! Ahh hell! Even Taiwan with USA STEEL would have been a waaaay better choice for plies! and I own all your American made tools and love the Taiwan stuff too 🤨
