Let me start by saying, i like this company. I'm no expert, nor do i profess to be, but there IS some wrong information here. Don't want anyone messing up their car or installing wrong. The ride height is not adjusted by the collars below the spring. That is your preload. To set your preload (for most people and applications), you'd adjust the spring collars just until they contact the spring and then kinda just a little bit of tension...maybe half a turn or one turn once the collar contacts the spring. You just want it a little firm so the spring cant spin around freely. If you try to lower your car using the method in this video, i promise you your car will ride around like a damn pogo stick. The ride height is adjusted buy turning the shock tube down into the lower anchor point of the coilover. The other teeth grinding moment for me was when the 2 big bolts at the bottom of the shock were removed and installed. You want to spin the nut side off, you don't want to spin the bolt head. Those are splined bolts. They're not meant to be turned in or out. If you do have to grab the hammer to pound them out, grab your nuts (giggity) and spin them back on the bolts by hand a few turns, hit the nut with the hammer not the end of the bolt, that way you don't goof up your threads.

Well I have these and if you run stock rear shock mounts with these you will blow those mounts on a daily basis. If you get these and are trying to run track suspension get j&m shock mounts.

I’m pretty sure he completely stripped the splined strut bolts. No way those go in and out that easy. My mustang is a 2019 and it was world war 3 getting those bolts out.

So how do you determine the actual height value when adjusting? There's no hash marks to determine height settings? I'd hate to have to keep mounting and removing tires to get the ride height I want.

You’re right. Making the adjustments is not done by loosening both locking collars. The way he did it will change the preload. Just unlock the bottom locking collar and rotate the TOP collar to your desired height. The entire shaft should spin in the part that mounts to the hub. That way preload is still achieved.

Has anyone had problems with getting an alignment? I went and they said the top of the strut tower needs to be removed so they can reach the camber bolts?

u have to cut a hole into the top

i guess better said is that you have to widen the strut tower hole. steeda has a cutting tool specifically for that

I recently purchased a mustang gt with pedder xa extreme coilovers and the right rear shock is 1 inch higher than the left rear. How would I adjust to even out?
