I've made people race for me before. My friend and I used to have movie weekends when we would spend the whole weekend at mine, watching movies and eating takeaways. There were two Indian takeaways we liked so one night, we decided to have some fun by making them compete with each other. We phoned one of them each at the same time and simultaneously ordered the exact same delivery. We then sellotaped a tip to a chocolate bar as the prize and waited. You should have seen the winner's face when we congratulated him, gave him his prize and explained what we had done. He found it hilarious and told us that we really made his night. Especially as his takeaway was much farther away than the loser's one.

Many years ago when I was still married I was visiting my in laws and they put a bet on the Grand National. Her dad asked me if I wanted to have a flutter and he would put the bet on for me. I chose whichever horse was the favourite as I had no clue. It won, I collected about 8 quid or something and I never bet again. One of the few people to ever profit from gambling 😅

Dylan Moran is actually going through a really tough time right now. He's a raging alcoholic, his wife left him, life is a complete mess. He's still doing standup but it's just his Hallmark rambling stories but he trails off before the punchline. He's basically turned into Bernard but in a very tragic unfunny way and it kinda makes it hard to watch the show now.
