I love the fact that, unlike a lot of US reactions to British humour, you actually get it. Many others either don’t understand the joke, miss it, laugh at the wrong bits or it completely goes over their heads. Very refreshing to see. You’re both a credit to your nation. 🙂

Just watched a behind the scenes video from the show and apparently Mr Morris was based on when one of the shows writers grandmother dated a very pompous angry man and Mr Morris’s car was in great shape when the show bought it but they beat it up with a sledgehammer and drove into it with a forklift to beat it all up.

@@evertonian26 seriously mate, Harry Landis was in his late eighties when he was in FND, before he died mysteriously of old age. He had a lot of energy and did a LOT of TV in his lifetime but his contribution to FND is what I best remember him for and he got his piece of the action. In 50 years when people are watching these old FND episodes they'll think of him as modern folks think of The Major in Fawlty Towers. He did his bit for pop culture right to the end.

Harry Landis was wonderful as Mr Morris, as were all the older actors in this great comedy. Sadly he, Frances Cuka, Rosalind Knight and of course Paul Ritter are no longer with us.
