Adam’s peak has 2 main tracks to climb up. 4 hours stairs or 10 hours tracks without stairs. I love the 10 hours track because it’s associated with lot of nature and we are not that much tired just like climbing stairs

Taking the stairs to Adam's Peak is the easiest way, but you can try other routes without stairs, such as hiking through the jungle, which takes more than 4 hours. The hiking season for Adam's Peak is from the December Poya to the April Poya, but during this season, it gets very crowded, so the hike can take more than 4 hours, and you might be stuck on one set of stairs for over an hour. However, you can hike during the off-season with a guide, as it can be dangerous to go alone. There are 3 main routes to Adam's Peak starting from different districts, and the most popular one is from Hatton.

Adams peak has 3 major road to hike. 1. Nallathanniya road - 8000steps 2. Rathanapura road - 16,000 steps (i think dont remember correctly ? 3. Erathna road - 16km hike ( this one is my favorite its more nature and more relaxing ) Also adams oeak known as samanala kanda is a religious place for all sri lankan. Mainly buddhist . In sri lanka has many place to watch 1. Polonnaruwa - 2nd ancient capital after anuradhapura 2.trincomalee - natural harbor beautiful beach as nilaweli pasi kuda marbel beach. Many tamil temples 3. Jafna 4. Mannar Visit sri lanka❣️❣️❣️

Regarding Sri Pada (Adam's peak) : You can visit pilgrimage on Sri Pada in 11 Different paths . Only two of them having stairs. Other paths are in the middle of heavy jungle .

Fun fact about rummasala, it has one of the lowest gravity points on earths surface. The ancient folk tale goes...Hanuman scooped up a mountain and brought it to Sri Lanka to give someone, on the way he dropped a lump of it...which happens to be rummasala. The beautiful part about it is that rummasala hill has some unique plants that arent found anywhere else around the area. Which makes one think if these folk tales were just stories...

Actually, don't trust time Magazine :). Mirissa is one of the beautiful beach in Sri Lanka, but it's not even close to the most beautiful one. you can sea most beautiful beaches in eastern coast. Batticaloa to Trincomalee. Also, if you want go through more scenic view ti Sri padha, go through Rathnapura road. It's the Ancient Road that king use to climb Sri Padha. It's longer path and still lotof stairs but you will also find that you are walking through heavy jungle.

Why i would say Adams peak is worth it because on top of that mountain is where its believed That prophet Adam (pbuh) landed when he was sent down to earth and on the very top of the mountain is his foot print. So yeah for christians and muslims it makes the stairs worth it✨️

Yeah u are right. Big adams peak is one of the lamest places to visit in sri lanka. In addition to 4 hours of stair climbing u can see religious fanatics worshipping a big foot symbol on top of the mountain that they believe to be buddha's (by dmba$$ buddhists) or adam's (by dmba$$ christians). 😂😂😂

Sri Pada is a very important mountain in terms of History, Religion and Land mark. On top of this pointy mountain is a carving of a foot, history says it's budhdha's foot print so its a pilgrimage site. Thousands visit the footprint every year between Dec-Apr (on season) hence theres a big traffic on the way up. Even ancient Sinhalese kings visited the site to appeal to the people. The mountain can be seen from the ocean hence for the past two thousand years many travelers were able to easily find Sri lanka. This landmark is the main reason why we made it to almost all of world maps through out the history(greeks, romans, persian, arab, chinese etc...) When Arabs started coming during 13th century they also took the climb and for some reason started calling it Adam's peak and also believes that the footprint belongs to adam.

8:07 This Hike to Adams Peak has 3 routes with varying difficulties and time taken. There is a trail route but it took me around a entire day and some more to finish the entire climb and back. You have to eat sleep and shit up there through the jungle and rivers. Its a enlightening experience. 10/10 recommended. PS the stairs are only at the very top aswell as the easier routes.
