That's the worst thing about it. If they'd simply adapted the words to make them relevant it would be fine. English fans singing these chants, not one single eyebrow raised by the security, stewards or police at the grounds. Now, the reason for the 2 completely opposing events happening, American's believe that ANYTHING said to them is a personal attack and the "offender(s) MUST be punished, meanwhile in England, even if the song is a VERY personal one to you or your family, we have the common sense to know that it's all said in jest, winding up the opposition and their fans, taking the piss out of them, but no0one takes it seriously. There are one or two occasions when it is taken seriously, not just by the fans, but by the clubs involved and the police, is when the mindless minority of people, I won't call them fans as they clearly aren't fans, they're mindless morons who try to take the piss out of the devastating events of Munich (for Manchester United) and Hillsborough (for Liverpool) and as huge a rivalry as there is between those 2 clubs, genuine supporters of both come together on the anniversaries of those tragedies/ Apart from those, and one or two other less well known events, almost anything goes with our fans and their chants

Jack Wilshire, the Arsenal player at the end there, was fined £40,000 for calling his team's North London rivals Tottenham "shit"... It ain't all free speech here.

Hiya Dream Team Gang, 2 Americans went to our local professional team, and they stated to sing "I Believe We Can Win" the crowd either ignored them or told them to shut up, as American did you think this was cringy or good? this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England

😆 you guys should watched the culture clash reaction channel. the brit husband gave great context to these brits chants.. and with the explanation, made these chants even funnier, and honestly totally brutal 🤣😅🤣🤣

What's cool is a lot of the chants use tunes we all know. (There's a number of Welsh ones that are perfect for it). If you have the balls, you shout the words of your chant out to the tune. about 2 seconds later (if the fans like it) the whole side of a stadium is singing your lyrics😂👍

Imagine you’re laying on a stretcher, you’re a gone for months, perhaps the rest of the season, perhaps you’ve an injury that you’re gonna be there to some extent forever… and then they all chant in unison like that… it’s so unreasonable 😂😂😂 But on the other hand, you have to admire the ingenuity, and the fact that they can just come up with something on the spot, and everyone is just on board.

So glad you both enjoyed the chants in England. One i would suggest to Americans visiting Seattle would be "who's the d..k head with the mike"

The brits (UK) videos are very very tame. There's some shocking fun and sometimes cringeworthy ones if you look for them.

Football in the uk it not a sport it a way of life there is a famous saying made by bill shankley "Football is a matter of life and death it more important than that" most fans have been supporting their favourite teams since they are born because their parents make the loyalty to their teams go in their blood there have been times where groups of mens are in the pub and all they r doing is watchin footy and talking about footy for hours and hours they will literally talk bout nothing else apart from whose round of drinks is next

I was at Old Trafford for the Chesterfield v Middlesbrough FA cup Semi final years ago. Chesterfield were robbed. I've been to Old Trafford lots of times when my team, Sheffield Wednesday were up there doing well. I still remember Brian Kidd rushing into the pitch, because you had to beat us for a chance to stay in the title race. You were very lucky, and went on to win the title. Two great goals very late on from Mark Hughes, to win 2-1. Wednesday were a bit of a bogey team to you back then. Great ground, amazing fans.

Hopefully we'll be up there again in a couple of years. What a play off semi final we've just witnessed over the 2 legs. Made history. And 96 points and not getting automatic promotion was heartbreaking. We hit a bad spot after beating Newcastle United in the cup. Got too big for our boots

Americans don't chant they cheer and people lead those "cheers". British football chants are part war cry and the crowd spontaneously decides what to chant.
