Sheep are called different things based on age. Lamb is less than a year old. Between 1 and 2 years its called hogget, then it becomes mutton after the 2 year mark.

Different stages of a sheep (meat ) life. Lamb, hogget, mutton. The meat just gets a bit tougher the older they get,.

Actually alot of coppers in Straya do wear bullet proof vests on duty as it's the belt that is heavier to carry. They only carry their guns & cuffs & wear the vest so it's more lightweight

yeah nah, msot of the time it is stab proof vest or a tactical rig not a bullet proof vest, if they do wear a bullet proof vest it will be a plate carrier which is much larger, and even then thats usually a special force that will wear that liek the QRF (Quick reaction force)

Lambs are classed as lamb until they get their permanent incisors teeth at roughly 18 months give or take a couple of months. Once they get their permanent teeth they are sheep 🐑. It’s better to get the sheep into a pasture and off the road and let’s farmers work out who it belongs to

A lamb is a baby sheep. Lamb meat is called lamb but sheep meat is called mutton, which are usually 1 year or older, anything younger than 1 year is a lamb..

You were asking about bulletproof vests, I can't say for certain if aussie cops wear bulletproof vests pr not in their day-to-day, but they for sure wear stab vests, knives are a much more common threat for them here.

Lamb is a baby sheep. You do get lamb easily, but you can get mutton which is an adult sheep. Mutton is looked down on, but it has a rather nice flavour, great with mint sauce. I recommend seeing s butcher and see off they can get some in for you

Lamb is a baby sheep. People eat lamb because it's generally more tender and the flavour is more mild. Saying that people assume it's a wee baby lamb but it's killed around a year old so it's 90% full size. Mutton is an adult sheep, I prefer it over lamb. The flavour is more full but not as popular to city people.

That sheep is fair game, not in a paddock. Maybe that's country rules. Leave the skin on the fence, take that sheep home. Also most lamb you eat is actually mutton or two tooth's, it is not a lamb. A lamb is up to 12 months old anything after that is mutton.

Yes in the us you have to have livestock tagged to know who it belongs to and I'm sure many other reasons. And if you take livestock that isn't yours that is a felony.

@@TheCommodity it's well within the laws of Australia lol. Swagman law. You are not allowed to make a profit from it, but your allowed to eat it lol, and the farmer can get into trouble if a car hits it on the road.

In Australia, meat from a juvenile sheep is sold as lamb and meat from an adult sheep is sold as veal.
