The best dig into Henning Wehn that I remember is from Jimmy Carr on 8 out of 10 cats does countdown. "Henning Wehn is a German comedian who did a comedy tour around the UK in 2015, and in 2016 we voted to leave the EU."

Factoid: During the first story (Henning on Interpol's missing list) Rob Brydon (the chairman) accuses the redheaded guy of "jumping ahead", and someone quips, "he can do that". The redhead is Greg Rutherford, who won the gold medal for long jump at the 2012 London Olympics. Best Wishes. ☮

There's a great radio show called The Unbelievable Truth which you can find on KZbin. It's presented by David Mitchell and Henning is a regular on it. It's a cross between QI and WILTY The contestants have to give a talk on a subject which is all lies except for five truths they have to smuggle past the other players. It's very funny. As it's a radio show maybe it wouldn't be reaction material but well worth a listen to even if in your own time!

It's true that the Hitler youth had this in their songbooks but the song has no negative connotations and is sung by scouts or (Christian) youth groups till today. Don't make it something it's not.

Henning is a crossover between German and British. He should be on the channel where you're doing British stuff because that's where he performs as a comedian. If he worked in Germany, then that would be a different story.

that is double bluffing from a pro. Almost everybody does that "oh i'm so surprised by this story on my card" face these days (it's almost indicating a truth now) but stumbling convincingly through a true story is an art. At least as much as telling a lie convincingly. Also he might have learned from Bob Mortimer to pile one crazy thing onto the other.

In the nearly 60 years since England won the World Cup against Germany, Germany have defeated England on penalties several times in different championships. World Cup, European Cup etc, but the myth is greater than the fact. England lost on penalties 7 out of 10 times, but only twice against Germany. Germany have never lost a World Cup penalty shoot out, but won the World Cup four times to England's paltry once. {:o:O:}

Henning is a semi-regular panellist on another truth/lie based show on Radio 4, hosted by David Mitchell called The Unbelievable Truth. and he is brilliant on that. I know that reacting to radio shows on a platform like KZbin isn't going to work that well, but if you get chance to listen to it when you're "off duty" I guarantee you'll love it. There are some episodes uploaded to KZbin.

Bob Mortimer, Rhod Gilbert, Greg Davies, Claudia Winkelman, and Henning Wehn. Their stories are always so preposterous that they always seem like lies - and rarely are! BTW, the accent Lee was doing was Welsh - Rob's native accent. And the penalty joke was definitely football - England have a woeful record in penalty shoot-outs in European competitions :)

Poor Shark?! A healthy fear (and understanding) of Sharks is a matter of survival in Oz. I'm not saying kill all Sharks, but they are one of the most efficient and ruthless killing machines on the Planet. I think the teachable moment there is a lot more complex than killing a Shark for being a Shark. Each to their own though.
