Henning is brilliant. His grasp of the subtleties of English is very impressive - he uses a lot of slightly outdated words and phrases for comic effect. Very clever…

I had only ever seen Henning on 8 out of 10 cats but found him very funny on that. First time seeing his stand-up and he did not disappoint, that was hilarious. 😂

OMG he went there! Hilarious! BTW, "Allo Allo" was a sitcom set in France during WWII - it actually became popular not just n the UK but also in France and Germany, because it poked fun at everyone equally. One long slapstick farce, and very funny.

He mentioned another great BBC comedy Allo Allo which was set in Paris during World War 2 with everyone speaking English with varying accents. You should check it out. It aired from '82 to 92 (9 series), so a lot longer then the actual war.

Saw him live a few years ago, love the guy he had so many people around him wanting to talk after the gig it was a student gig edgy humour but comes from a good place.

I'm a fan of his. He's very well received. He knows a great deal about British language, humour & culture. He appears on radio panel shows & you get to know his character well. 'The Unbelievable Truth' is hosted by David Mitchell. 😉
