@@itzmehDevi Yes! I'm so excited. The show is called 'The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island'. It sounds like it might be something like Jinny's Kitchen but on a deserted island with much less resources for cooking meals. That sort of vibe where people move to a new place and set up a temporary space and invite customer in but with the challenge of the low resources. At least that's what I've gathered so far.

Fun story about this, after he finish the festa he totally gone, no update for like one week and then one day he finally post on weverse. The next day news come that he just finish shooting for a variety show, in the desert island, their task is to build a house, from nothing, and survive by eating what ever exist there😭 We thought he been spending time with family and friends, resting and gaming the whole day but he just let himself stranded in desert island with no wifi 😭😭

3:42 Suga got public service aka a desk job because of his shoulder. From what I understand celebrities with that kind of service usually stay offline for their whole service so that the public doesn't think they're having it "easy" (as a public service worker you basically work a 9-5 job and can go home after unlike "normal" enlistment where you have to stay on base 24/7 except for your leave days)

I'm glad he had a nice experience on the military. A lot of people were worried bc most of idols don't have a good experience there for so many reasons but Jin did do well! I found so funny how we were saying things like "oh I hope Jin I'd resting, eating, sleeping and playing games with his friends all the time he wants" and just a couple if days we found out that Seokjin wasn't active on media it all bc he was filming a survival variety show in a dessert island, then he started posting him playing tennis and recording something at the studio and the next day we got the announcement that Jin will be a torch bearer at the Olympic in Paris 😭 That man hasn't stopped working omg that's crazy

13:19 it's more normal for the men to go after high school so around 20 years old, more to "just be done with it" then when they're out they can go to college or whatever and move on with their lives doing whatever they want, but idols start training around this age so obviously they can't go as soon as they're out of high school, that's why they go so later on and its definitely more common for them to have juniors than people older than them there (not considering the full military officers obviously, that does this for a living)

Jin and Hobi have had pretty much the exact same military path and I'm so impressed with them both. Like they both were special warriors during training because of their soldier skills (marksmanship, discipline, physical fitness, test scores), and then they both became Training Commanders who train new troops (selected because of their exemplary performance and trainees, temperament, and leadership skills), and then because of their continued excellent performance they were both promoted early through several ranks (private first class, corporal, and then sergeant), and they've both won several awards through their service. We know less about the types of awards they've won but Jin talked about his here and Hobi was recently in the papers for winning a presentation award in a competition. Like they could have shown up and taken it easy and laid low if they wanted because lord knows they've done enough and worked hard their whole lives. But they both really stepped up in the military, too, and have done themselves and us so proud! Even their fellow soldiers on Instagram and twitter share stories about how admirable and kind they are (they meet a lot of troops because they train all the new batches). I think next to RM, j-hope and Jin have the strongest, most natural leadership skills and they also have two of the most validating and supportive personalities so it's not surprising they had a huge impact in their roles as trainers.

Jin actually recently went to his old high school to film something. It's an all boys school and there's so many videos on twitter and instagram of them running around after him, boys shouting that jin's handsome and just being fanboys. Theyre very funny haha

All the attention is usually on the female side of the fandom, but there are also a lot of male ARMYs - especially in those who are training to be idols or dancers, or even just highschool boys who participate in public dance challenges. I would say that 80% of the 4th generation of K-pop now consists of idols who pursued this career with BTS as their inspiration. Especially those currently under HYBE. Imagine, one day you're just posting your selfie to match Taehyung or just giving a room tour of all your Jin posters, and then a few years later you're in the same company as them 😆 (Yes, these are true stories for two separate female idols currently in HYBE) Since enlisting, BTS have also gained a lot of new male fans closer to their age, purely because of how well they're doing in the military. Online communities that once looked down on them for being idols are now posting their military photos and clips as inspiration, and the comments are full of men praising them 😆

3:48 alternative service is kinda looked down upon by the regular unit soldiers as a lot of politicians sons, rich brats, celebs etc show up with medical reasons when it's time for them to enlist to avoid doing it the regular way, its got a bit of stigma, which is a shame as there's genuine medical conditions out there, and how insane compulsory conscription is. anyways, a LOT of high profile ppl try to cheat out of the service thru it. So when theyre spotted vacationing or just wasting the night out, netizens just pounce on it resentfully and drag the person. which is why when there's celebs with genuine medical conditions doing alt service, they prefer to stay absolutely lowkey to not get caught in the crossfire of whatever lashings ppl cheating their way out are getting. they literally drop off the grid, they're doing their 9-5 office job like a regular person, which I assume yoongi prefers to do too.

Enjoyed your reaction. I am ot7, but Jin is special to me. He is my bias. So, definitely yes to festa. I watched the premiere on weverse at 3am. I was so happy and excited and cried during most of it. It was the best. Jin sounded amazing! He was so cute and funny! If you have a weverse membership you can watch it, but I'm pretty sure it will be blocked on youtube. Since Jin convinced them to allow cameras there are a number of famcams of the show which can be shown on yt. Also bang tantv has a video of his performance of Super tuna which has a newly added verse. So fun! There's also footage of his hug event which surprisingly took only 1 hour for 1,000 people. Jin's expression when he realized it was over in just 1 hour was priceless. I can't afford patreon right now so please do it on youtube.

I think BTS had been smart in showing us they were there during Jin's discharge, as you know they were not allowed to release this in their youtube channel as most of the members are still actively serving. Since kmedia were there to film it, i think they leveraged on that to show themselves to Armys

Anyone doing their mandatory miltary service will be younger than Jin. Only the ones with order of cultural merit(one of the highest award in SK) can postpone their service till age 30....this rule was called "only for bts rule" because BTS are the only kpop group(as far as i know) to get it for promoting Korean culture...they are also the youngest ever to get it

THEY'RE LITERAL CHILDREN I hate it so much that SK and some other countries have mandatory conscription (I understand why the countries do but I still am not okay with it). Also because so much can go wrong while these young men are serving that they'll get scarred for life mentally/emotionally even physically who knows. V is the only BTS member in Special Forces...anti terrorism SDT unit..a part of Korean Military Police doing Special missions under the command of the South Korean President..It is the most difficult in the army.. Jungkook wanted to join too.. V had to pass Intelligence tests, physical tests, military interview to get into Special Forces..and he got accepte and he is the best .. soooo FIRE .. Borahae...🔥💜

17:41 i think Jin was older than everyone 😂 most of the guys go right after school to get it done with. Idols go so ‚late‘ because of their careers. Let‘s say you debut at 16-17, you can’t just go right after for 2 years that would be the end for your group basically cause they have to make a name for themselves first, that‘s why idols will probably always be some of the oldest in their crew! Jimin and Jungkook are together every day in the same unit, the reason why they are in their military uniform is because they were only let out that morning because their unit is closer to where jin was, the others were further away so had to be let out the night before

3:33 there were like multiple notices by bighit to ARMYs to NOT show up at the base😭 as there are other soldiers who also have their families there too so it's not fair if fans congest the area. they still deployed lots of personnel regardless just to be safe in case fans came, but some descended on the hybe hq instead, they had a whole crowd there hoping the members would go thru the main entrance(obvs they didnt)😂 but yeah lack of fans, made it possible from them to come out. idt they would have if fans had come and crowded the area. this way they feed the media clicks too, takes pressure off jin to do a specific media showing post discharge either.

afaik cmiiw karmy who know the distances between their bases said jungkook jimins base is near jins which is why they directly came from there to his discharge, no changing. the rest are from bases farther away so they had to leave early, so they had time to switch fits.
