JK was harmonising with Suga. During a live studio performance, they used a backing track for JK's part. But Suga was not happy and asked for a second retake of the song and asked JK sing his harmonising live. This story was shared by a studio audience who was there during the recording.

Love this song, You don't realize how high V can sing or range! Only because within BTS they usually only utilize his lower tone in most songs, but not all. Rarely does he show off his higher register. V has a crazy beautiful vocal range. You wouldn't think he can hit those crazy high ranges, but he can, and I wish or took more opportunities to do so. ​@@jackcomeback1758 The guy is an idiot. Everything is Jimin even when he can clearly see that it's Jungkook singing, he prefers to give that credit to Jimin. Jimin stans are always on his channel so he likes pandering to them. Jungkook harmonizes 95℅ of BTS songs, 3℅ is Jimin, 1℅ is Jin and the remaining 1℅ is V but trust them to claim every high pitch is Jimin as if Jk doesn't do high pitched or high notes.

Yes that was our V. He has the widest vocal range of the guys and he went up an octave after Dynamite. He tends to sing baritone for his solo work since when he sings with the rest of the vocal line he sings at a higher range. In the early songs, they did not know how to maximize his voice, so he had less lines and he growled a lot. LOL Until Layover, I believe his vocals were underrated.

They sound good on the lower range. As a new fan I always wonder why Big Hit has been a little obsessed with high processing and high range vocals when many sounds great low. What I noticed is that higher voices often sound younger. I don’t know. But as a massive fan of Jimin’s amazing vocal texture I have been wishing that he might explore his lower range more one day.

Have you thought about checking out the color coded lyrics before playing any video. The input to one's brain with the images and music can be overwhelming the first time you hear a song. Listening and reading along with the lyrics then following that up with a full viewing of the video may be more helpful for you given your desire to hear the producing but get distracted by the visuals. Jungkook also did so many harmonization with members, adlibs and back chorus in this song. Jungkook always has been doing so many layered vocals under Rap lines and also other vocals. He's been doing guide of their songs ( He also did some other members' solo songs guide ) Producers and members always uses Jungkook's voice to connect their unique colorful voices beautifully as one smooth flow, I guess you've already known about it though.

You should react to Your Eyes Tell. It's a Japanese track that's an OST for a movie about a down-on-his-luck boxer falls in love with a blind woman. It's an OT7 song but I think you'd find it interesting because the entire vocal line sings at a VERY high register. Including V. I'm surprised you hadn't realized how high he could sing before this. He sings high at least as often, if not more often, than he does low.
