Concert was 27th November 2013 in Glasgow, brand new venue called The hydro, unbelievable concert. I've seen them 19 times, this was one of the best.

I think the only original members are the singer and guitarist. I do love this particular line-up, though, from around 2014. There is another great live performance of their newer song called 'Moscow Underground.' If you do a search on KZbin for 'Simple Minds Main Square Festival live' it's the opening song on an hour-long concert video. (You may end up like me, watching the entire show!). They are just that good live, even today.

Had the pleasure to see simple minds many times. First time was 1985 in Milton keynes which was my very first Concert. Again in 1988 Wembley stadium London at Nelson Mandela 70th birthday tribute what show that was so many artists to see in one day sting, Tracy Chapman, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder Dire Straits amd manymore. And in margate winter gardens 2003. And I've seen U2 in Edinburgh Scotland 1987 and Twickenham London 2005. Red Hot Chili Peppers at Hyde Park London 2004

On the original upload (in the description), it says that the recording was from November 2013. Yes indeed, it's stunning... HONEST TOWN (released in 2014), is another great song by Simple Minds, and it probably couldn't sound much more different to 'Waterfront'. Think, DISCO!

This is from the CD/DVD live at the Hydro, Glasgow Scotland, their hometown. I think this is from 2013/14.The orginal members are singer Jim Kerr, guitarist Charlie Burchill and that great drummer Mel Gaynor. The orginal keybordplayer and bassist left the band alreaydy in late 80's. You should also listen to New Gold Dream, Someone Somewhere in Summertime and the American and then the live versions. These songs are from the same period. BY the way, the Netherlands where the first country in Europe in which they became popular and still are. I have seen them for the last time in 2015 in Amsterdam. As always a great concert. Greetings from a Dutch SM fan.

Mel Gaynor is not an original member, he didn't join until New Gold Dream tour and the keyboard player was Mick Macneil who was the groove of the band, as soon as he left it was all downhill for simple minds regarding poor sales and could not sell out big stadiums. Yep after Mick left kinda all downhill

This was filmed at the Glasgow SSE Hydro on 27th November 2013, approximately 2 months after it was opened by Rod Stewart on the 30th September. I seen Depeche Mode there on the 11th November, then 16 days later on the 27th was Simple Minds. And their support act was Ultravox. This song was the opening track.

i saw yesterday a reportage on belgian tv,and they said the intro was done by chance...jim had always a ghettoblaster with him recording all kinds of sounds,and the first notes of this song were recorded on it,and they used it to begin this song with it
