Regarding your question at his prime (19 to 34) due to his play style he was the most fouled player in EUROPE the reason he doesn’t get injured a lot is because number of reasons: -he’s super smart knows when to avoid tackles you can see him jump sometimes he has such an incredible reaction time -Used to get injured alot at his younger years (18-20ish) before he built his muscles in his legs -Doesn’t dive or fake it, he has a relentless style of play so when a player tackles him to stop him they usually get booked by the referee or get sent off the game -There’s a saying in football “don’t make him angry” so playing dirty against him makes it worse for his opponents so teams stopped using the provoking tactics lmao - when he hit thirty he developed a style of play that allowed him not to run alot in every game (high efficiency in everything) so he sometimes plays through injuries

@@daveandjessdivorced The premier league doesn’t just “have it’s moments” lol. The common consensus between players managers pundits and fans is the premier league is the most competitive and desirable league in the world. Leagues like La liga and Bundesliga are top leagues but they’re mostly dominated by 2 teams. The drop in quality is considerable. You need to really get into the sport to appreciate the difference in level There’s a reason why it’s the most watched sports league in the world. “broadcast in 212 territories to 643 million homes, with a potential TV audience of 4.7 billion people”

React to Messi The GOAT Official Movie by MagicalMessi. It shows mainly his club career from the beginning until 2019 and also touches on his international career representing his home nation Argentina in World Cups. After that I recommend reacting to Lionel Messi The Complete Story by MagicalMessi. It is all about his international career, about being heavily criticized especially in his homeland for not winning titles, until he won the Copa America in 2021 and then the World Cup in 2022, but he had around 15 years of not winning a major international title before that, and it was rough because the country of Argentina put heavy expectations on his shoulders as the best player in the world to deliver titles. The Complete Story video is 39 minutes long, so if it's too much I can also recommend Lionel Messi World Champion Movie by the same creator, although the longer video includes this World Champion movie entirely at the end of it, and The Complette Story video gives you a better understanding of all the heartbreak, hate and failures he had to endure before achieving the crown of his career, the World Cup, which made the victory all the more sweeter.

1:04 it’s Leonel. Or Leo if it’s tricky for you. Doesn’t matter if you’re in America. When Mexico plays the US they don’t change the names of the players to how it would be in their own country. Christian Pulisic is still Christian like how they would say it in English. Meaning they kept the ish sound. Where in Spanish they would make the EEs sound. It’s about respect to the player. If you’re accent doesn’t allow you to say it how it would be that’s one thing. But if you have the ability to say it and choose not to. You can’t say you’re showing respect to the player. I’m not gonna say it’s only Americans who do that. But it’s mostly Americans. Especially when corrected. It’s not just reactors. It’s also American journalists who do it even to their own home talent.

Lionel Messi turns 37 years of age this year... that is actually beyond the usual retirement age of soccer (football ⚽) players (Belgium's star player Eden Hazard retired at 32, plagued w/ injuries and poor performances) Messi decided to sign w/ Inter Miami club in 2023, leaving behind his previous club PSG (Paris St. Germain) in France after 2 seasons... He stipulated that he wanted to "make a legacy" in the USA and "have fun playing football" before he is likely to retire by age 40. Despite winning 2 Ligue 1 titles w/ PSG, he was not thrilled w/ his time at the club but was able to be teammates w/ Kylian Mbappe of France, one of the top 3 players in the world today... ( Messi's rival Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal at age 39 this year, signed w/ club Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia for over 100 Million Euros per year and will likely retire there) Messi was reportedly offered 200 Million Euros per year to join the Saudi Pro League, but he turned it down for a 40+ Million $$ per year at Inter Miami (Messi still earns Millions from Saudi Arabia as a tourism promoter) but also gets revenue and part ownership of Inter Miami club. Another key reason Messi joined Inter Miami was that they agreed to sign his Barcelona club teammates and friends - Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and star striker Luis Suarez of Uruguay... Messi helped transform Inter Miami from the worst MLS team to one of the top teams on the table... Still, Messi is set to earn well over 100 Million $$$ per year before he retires. Lionel Messi spent most of his career in Spain w/ club Barcelona, who signed him as a boy from Argentina... He went pro in his teens and became a sensation for over a decade... Messi also debuted for Argentina as a teen, winning an Olympic gold medal and the Under-20 World title... Messi went on to win every single title Barcelona could win (except the Europa League title, which was for 2nd-tier teams... not top teams like Barcelona) His fierce rivalry in Spain's La Liga w/ Cristiano Ronaldo (who played for club Real Madrid, the rivals of Barcelona) made it the #1 soccer league in the world for over a decade. Over the years, Messi has accumulated a number of injuries... His Inter Miami participation has also been spotty because of injuries at a late stage in his career when recovery takes weeks for him to recuperate. Even in Barcelona, he would have to take absences due to injuries. Thankfully, Messi was in top form in 2022 going into the World Cup in Qatar and winning his first World Cup title (Argentina's 3rd) ...He had finally won a Copa America title for Argentina in 2021 before that. Despite winning every title for Barcelona club, Messi always fell short w/ Argentina's national team... He and Argentina lost the World Cup final in 2014 to Germany by 0 - 1 in extra time... However, Messi was named Player of the tournament in 2014... He is the only player in the world to win that accolade twice when he and Argentina won the 2022 World Cup at age 35 and Player of the tournament - he has been Argentina's Captain for over a decade. He will likely play his last Copa America tournament w/ Argentina in 2024 and has indicated that he will not play in the next World Cup in 2026.

Please answer this, I may have missed it in all the comment sections, but why did Messi never play in the Premier League?
@sumonjamal1653
@sumonjamal1653 Ай бұрын
@@daveandjessdivorced Messi signed w/ Barcelona club before he went pro... He spent his entire career there... There were offers to sign Messi to the Premiere League but Barcelona was not willing to sell his contract. Unfortunately, after the pandemic in 2020, Barcelona was in financial peril and could no longer afford his market value (which was still incredibly high) A bidding war broke out in 2021 to sign Messi... and PSG club of France (which is owned by Qataris) won the bid... Messi was also eager to work w/ his former Barcelona teammate and friend Neymar Jr. in PSG... as well as France's Kylian Mbappe, who was the #1 young player in the world. However, Messi was unable to win a 5th Champions League w/ PSG in 2 seasons (Messi won 4 w/ Barcelona) but did win Ligue 1 in France twice... Both Neymar and Mbappe said that PSG treated Messi poorly and didn't know how to use the "world's best player"... Neymar was injured in 2023 and both he and Messi left PSG that year (Mbappe has signed w/ Spain's Real Madrid next season in 2024) Bidding war again in 2023 to sign Messi for his final years at age 36 after his 2022 World Cup win... Saudi Pro League had the biggest offer, but he opted to sign a lucrative deal w/ Inter Miami. However, some of Messi's best friends from Argentina did play in the Premiere League - Angel DiMaria played for Manchester United... Sergio Aguero played for Manchester City ... Javier Mascherano played for West Ham, then Liverpool... Uruguay's Luis Suarez played for Liverpool.

OK, OK, let's talk about how little you know, vis-à-vis Football Shirts, each Football Team in Every League across the World (The Real World, not just your Series), have a Home Kit, with their Badge/Logo on it, they also have an away Kit, to ensure that there is no clash of colours (spelt correctly), with the other 91 professional clubs in England (4 from Wales). They also have a Third Kit! Each National Team have their own three kits, which are worn with pride, so it is not de rigour to buy a Yellow Brazilian Shirt and put a Portuguese Players name on it! That would be just crass stupidity to even suggest it! Although I can understand why a Murican would love to pull on a Red or White England Shirt with the Three Lions Passant, I would rather they were Rampant but we can't get everything we want. Although it is your want, it really doesn't make sense to keep comparing World Sports to your home grown pastiche of games! It's rather like comparing a Rolls Royce or Bentley to an Acme or Toon Town Charicature! Football (our REAL Football) is the highest watched with 3.5 Billion. Cricket is the second highest watched sport in the world with 2.5 billion, No 7th in the World is your Baseball with 500 thousand!

OK let's talk about your GRID IRON, that you rarely play with your feet, you don't touch the ball down to get a "Touchdown" as opposed to the better Hand/Elipsoidal Ball game of Rugby for Real Men where they are physically fit, not just huge blubbernaughts! Do a comparison, and/or the Hardest Hits in Rugby! In your hour long game that is stretched out to at least 3 hours, whereby you don't actually touch the ball down for a touchdown, unlike our Rugby where the ball is touched down for a Try, where the ball is rarely kicked with your feet in a game called Murican Foot ball, the four quarters of your hour long game, instead of being 15 minutes, last for 45 minutes, each interspersed with adverts, Defence on the field and off again, offence onto the field and other "Special" teams, flags on the play, timeouts, do you know how long the ball is in Play on average? Eleven, 11, yes, ELEVEN minutes, that's it, done, that's your lot! What a game! 11 minutes! Over three hours! This equals 6% of the time! Eleven Minutes, stone me!!!
