As a Pakistani I can say this is the best "Trying Pakistani food" video ive come across. Because the host so well-informed and accurate about the information, she really did her homework even tho she isn't Pakistani herself and the food looks bomb. Usually in other videos, they either dont explain the food and what it is properly or the food isnt cooked authentically, like u can tell. So kudos to u guys

To the Indians complaining about the origin of the cuisine...Pakistan and India was the same not so long ago so it's basically impossible to determine that shit. What I can say is...the dishes with meat are better in Pakistan and non vegetarian are better in India. It just makes sense when you think of that way! Offcourse India is a lot bigger and more diverse so there is definitely more variety there but in Pakistan, the North is very unique and one of our provincial cuisines is close to Afghan food while the other is close to Iranian! Punjab is just Punjab for both and Sindh shares a lot of cultural similarities as well with India! Why the hate?

People need to be aware that saffron is the most expensive spice in the world costing between $1000 and $5000 per pound. It is obtained from the saffron crocus and only the stigma of the flower can be used. To get that stigma you have to pick it by hand and 440,000 stigmas are needed for 1kg of saffron.

The good thing about Pakistani food is the variety in regional flavours. Like spices? Southern part uses more of them. Head to the Northern areas for less heat and more subtle flavours. And as for the origin of the these dishes, many are authentically Pakistani (e.g. biryani which has been of Sindh province and has been eaten since centuries), while some have Indian influence too from the time the countries were together, just like India also has some of our food.

As a Pakistani there are few things I would like to correct here. Firstly no one drinks Saffron lassi in Pakistan or even mango lassi is not common. People only have the regular white lassi with salt or sugar. Seconldy, no one has Karahi with Rice. It's ALWAYS served with a flatbread (naan or roti) Thirdly, Pakistan borders 4 countries and the areas near to those countries have food influenced by the neighboring country. E.g in Punjab the food is identical to Indian Punjab. So is the case with KPK and Afghanistan and also Balochistan and Iran

5:15 I noticed that in your video, you mentioned that the northern part of Pakistan is closer to Iraq and consists mostly of deserts. I wanted to provide some clarification and correct some misconceptions. In reality, the northern region of Pakistan is renowned for its breathtaking mountains and valleys. It is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning landscapes, such as the Himalayas, Karakoram Range, and Hindu Kush Mountains. These areas are known for their scenic beauty and attract adventurers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts from all over the world. Moreover, Pakistan shares its border with Afghanistan in the northwest region, not with Iraq. The border between Pakistan and Afghanistan is of significant geopolitical importance and has its own historical and cultural dynamics. I also wanted to mention that while there are similarities between Indian and Pakistani cuisine, there are notable differences in their cooking styles and flavors. It would be more accurate to showcase authentic Pakistani dishes when referring to Pakistani cuisine. I kindly request that you conduct thorough research and make an effort to provide accurate information in your videos. This will ensure that your content is informative and reliable. Thank you.

That bit in 5:20 is wrong, the north is closer to central asia and the silk road, so it is more like food from the steppes (typically less spice, and in honesty food that a lot of pakistanis would not have had)

Saffron lassi is definitely not a popular pakistani drink. Saffron tends to be used a lot more in the Indian cuisine. Hunza, has central asian and Chinese influences in their culinary contour and they are definitely not even remotely close to the middle east.

@@dhanushgowda4061 the thing is I dont get why most of the Hindus are under an Islamic video commenting crap and why most of the Indians especially Hindus are under Pakistani videos or Pakistan related video, commenting crap. Find me a single neg comment made by a Muslim under your Religion related videos and your India-related video. You'll only find them where theres a Hindu attacking them or mentioning them for no reason and they just retaliate. No wonder why you people destroyed our mosque while your govt watched and you people started abusing when a single Hindu temple was vandalized in Pakistan which was a Hindu person fault as well because he peed on our Holy Quran Nauzubillah (for money by another Hindu). And we are the ones being rude?yea right buddy Giving and taking respect ain't that hard but it is when it comes to being with people of the Indian especially the Hindu community. You claim the Mughal foods to be a part of your heritage but as well curse the Mughal leaders, why the double standard? Most of the Indian food which India is known for, was brought by the Mughals so know this fact before your people comment crap about my Religion, People, God or Leaders. Thank you my friend

The Biryani, nihari, haleem, karahi and many other famous Pakistani cuisines are invented during Mughal era. Mughals the empire who ruled Pakistan, india, Afghanistan, Bangladesh. And Pakistan northern areas are near China nor iraq or middle east. Sending Lot's of love from 🇵🇰 ❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Slight correction: North Pakistan is more closer to China and Central Asia than the middle east, so it has a lot of central Asian and Iranian influence on its culture. Secondly, we don't normally use saffron in our dishes, it is more commonly used in Iran than Pakistan but yes, the original recipes of the dishes do have a lot of saffron in it, including Biryani. By the way, a very well researched video and it deserves a tbumbs up. Well done guys.
