It's not for breakfast actually... in north India, they serve it as a complimentary before your order comes ... being a South Indian living in north, I don't know where they got the idea to serve papad with rasam 😅😅 but it's not actually as bad as it looks here... because you know korbin is new... if it's a good restaurant then it tastes quite good... 👌😄

Unfortunately the person advising Korbin what to eat, though meaning well, didn't understand what to suggest. Indians make the mistake, because they are already used to their own food assume that everyone else will instantly like the taste of everything they taste. Also, do not overwhelm your guests with choices of items and dips. Idli and Vadas, many times by even good restaurants are quite hard and not very palatable. Mostly I introduce Dosas to foreigners and tell them to try with chutney. They take to that. Just introduce them slowly and gradually. Here this person was suggesting multiple dips, and the idli and vada looked hard.

The only thing I would say is that It would have been much better if somebody actually had shown them how to eat each thing instead of confusing them so much. Also, pretty sure they didn't enjoy the meal as much they should have cause it was too crowded and the task to shoot a vlog and reaction ughh!. Sorry but the way that guy was telling Korbin to try everything was very annoying. Please just guide them a bit and let them explore everything himself . There's no one way of eating food. You may eat dosa and sambhar(or whatever) in a different manner. You may use a spoon after having a bite of dosa if you don't like using your hands, no need to necessarily scoop everything in a curry.

Firstly, thank you "Our Stupid Reactions" for visiting India and appreciating our food. I highly appretiate your efforts and the time you have put in this. In India, every state has its own special food. For exploring the real taste you need to get into the streets in that respective state. South Indian foods are made much spicier and tastier in south Indian states. For example in Andhra the original food is "Pesarattu Upma". You must have got a taste but not the original taste. I say this as I was born in the southern part and have eaten south Indian food since birth from north and south Indian states.

I have been there many times... it's in "Hauz Khas Village" by the name "Navedyam". A famous South Indian restaurant, they have awesome dishes and it's my all time favourite in that area...n m glad you guys visited there 🥰

This chain of restaurant here in Delhi where they went serves Rasam before every meal. I don’t know how South Indians have Rasam but at this restaurant they serve it as an appetiser and all the staff there in all the franchise are South Indians(atleast that’s what I have noticed) So we are made to believe what they want us to believe. But trust me the food there is really awesome.
