Hey guys I am watching your videos from last two years and every time you were eating Indian food I wanted to comment that you are not eating actual Indian food. But now you tasted Indian food in India in good restaurant now I am happy at least you know what is Indian food and specially naan. I am staying in USA from last two years and found only one restaurant which is 190 miles away from me where I can relate only one dish that I like in India. I realized Korbin actually liked Indian Vegetarian food much more than Non Veg throughout the entire trip. From Punjabi Parathas,to Rajasthani hotel where he enjoyed Paneer most, to this restaurant. It's why I believe Indian Non Vegetarians eat non veg just for the sake of it. Veg is where it's at.

I am sure the Chef has put a lot of love and effort in the dishes, also he must have tweaked them a little but I want to put it out there so that you guys know that there dishes aren't exactly as innovative as you think because most fine-dining restuarants in India have very similar menus to this and also that the dishes on them are pretty closely inspired or even directly taken from regional Indian Cuisine. The garnishes, ingredients and the dishes themselves are pretty much reflective of the quintessential North Indian food. These are the common choice of ingredients and their combinations. Of course the taste, technique and quality would still vary with place to place and chef to chef alongwith the presentation. I have been to Sattvik, New Delhi and several other places. The menu is amazing, even has some unique dishes alongwith the quality but is very much what you would find in most fine-dining restuarants in cities. To me, often times, it appears that most restaurants really like to keep up with the trends in their menus. But most importantly, I am glad you loved the food. For obvious reasons, Indian food tastes best when had in India. Now you will know the differences between what you had in America and here. Also, take care of yourselves. Stay safe, strong and healthy.

@@boonslang6689 But dude, don't take me wrong because your comment is actually irrelevant to mine. Like I don't know what made you say that. I wish you did actually read it properly. I mean I am not offended or anything but I really am not commenting on how authentic of Indian Food is served in Sattvik. It's about how Rick and Korbin perceived the food to be a lot different from the typical Indian food and were hyped up thinking that all the dishes are like super-innovative especially when they suprised how the chef thought all these ingredients could surprisingly be that good of a combination etc (you can clearly see that in the video). If you are well acquainted with Indian Food, you would know that isn't the case here. They were just slightly tweaked versions of regional classics from India or just the same dishes presented appetizingly, also the ingredients are pretty common in Indian delicacies and are known to go together but sure the food is actually scrumptious there since I have been there. Also the chef is sure really talented. That's all I meant. I did not intend to discredit the Chef at all if you are getting what I mean. I just wanted Rick and Korbin to understand that what they had is what they should expect in upscale or even standard dine-ins these days in India and that it's not much different from the generations old popular dishes in various regions of the country.

The gulab jamuns made in the US are made with chena. That is not the right way to make gulabjamun or kaala jamun. They have to be made with khoya (khova). The sugar syrup has to ek taar or even goli band. Lighter syrup makes the gulab jamun soggy and spungy even if it is made with khoya. Indian restaurants in the US and in big cities in India have taken a short cut and make them as a cross between rasogolla and true gulabjamun ending up with neither.

I had expected Rick to absolutely love our food and I'm so glad he did but Korbin's transformation is just amazing. The Chef is so sweet, humble and welcoming.
