It’s a very common American mistake to confuse the Danes with the Dutch. Further confusion when Americans learn netherlands as “Holland”. So I completely understand the mixup. Good on those guys for actually catching it. A lot of people would stick by it

Some of them were part of the East Block though, like Mexico is in the NAFTA but certainly not part of the US. Yugoslavia was not even that, it was neither behind a wall, nor linked to the USSR. It merely happened to be communist, sort of. Austrians were going there on holiday already long before the end of its communist rule.

I was saying that even if a country was in USSR, doesn’t mean it didn’t existed before. Bulgaria (which is a Balkan country and I live in it) was created in 681 BC and has been a country for 1342 years is way more than America with its 247 years. That’s a 1095 year difference in favour of Bulgaria.
